    • A suspension apparatus for a vehicle having left and right wheels and comprising a pair of left and right trailing arms connected to a respective wheel, and a pair of laterally extending left and right rotary shafts connected to respective arms. The outer ends of the shafts are supported in bearings on the vehicle to permit individual rotation of the shafts and corresponding rocking of the arms and a tubular coupling interconnects the rotary shafts at the inner ends thereof also to permit individual rotation of the shafts. The suspension apparatus can be of semi-trailing type in which case the rotary shafts have bends therein and their inner ends rotate in the coupling about axes which are inclined with respect to the axes of rotation of the shafts in the bearings.

    • A vehicle side section structure that is capable of a required stiffness and enables a reduction in weight of a roof side section is provided. A roof side rail that structures a vehicle side section structure is provided with: a roof outer panel that has length in a vehicle front-rear direction and is opened inward of the vehicle, and has a pair of upper and lower flanges; and a roof side frame member that is joined to the pair of upper and lower flanges of the roof outer panel at a pair of upper and lower flanges. The roof side frame member has, between the upper and lower flanges, an outward protruding portion that is protruded in a vehicle outward direction and an inward protruding portion 46 that is protruded in a vehicle inward direction, and in a sectional view cut orthogonally to the length direction, a length of a top wall of the outward protruding portion is longer than a length of a top wall of the inward protruding portion.

    • A container having an inflator is installed to an instrument panel in front of a seat. A rectangular sub bag is mounted to an opening of the container and has a partition panel inside thereof. The partition panel is attached to the sub bag to form first gas communicating paths between the sub bag and the partition panel. A cylindrical main bag has a base portion inserted inside the sub bag and connected to both the sub bag and the partition panel. The main bag has second gas communicating paths communicating to the sub bag disposed between the connection with the sub bag and the connection with the partition panel. Gases spouted from the inflator inflate the sub bag through the first gas communicating paths and then inflate the main bag through the second communicating paths.
