    • A method is provided for sensing leakage in a clutch cylinder system in a vehicle including an automated manual transmission, wherein the clutch cylinder system includes a clutch cylinder provided with a reciprocable piston, whose position is sensed by a position sensor and affected by pressurization of the cylinder by opening or closing at least one air inlet valve and by opening or closing at least one air outlet valve and wherein the clutch is in an engaged position when there is no air pressure in the cylinder. The method includes the steps of: a. closing the at least one inlet valve and at least one outlet valve for compressed air; b. sensing a position of the piston during a predetermined time span, and, c. if the position has changed more than a predetermined allowable position change, sending an error signal to an onboard diagnostics system or a signal light in the vehicle.

    • Automatic mechanical transmission system for a vehicle with antilock braking which is configured to selectively decouple the drive train of the vehicle from the wheels of the vehicle. The system includes a first sensor for sensing at least one operational state of the vehicle, a second sensor for sensing a wheel-lock up condition of the vehicle, and a logic control unit. The logic control unit is configured to receive signals from the first and second sensors. When the first sensor communicates a first predetermined operational state of the vehicle and the second sensor communicates a wheel-lockup condition, the logic unit directs disengagement of the drive train from the wheels. Alternatively, when a second predetermined operational state of the vehicle and wheel lock-up condition is communicated, the logic control unit directs engagement of the drive train and the wheels.

    • An automatic disengaging method for a master clutch dependent power take-off (PTO) arranged in a vehicle for preventing undesired movement or actions of the implements associated with the PTO and undesired wear of a clutch collar (release bearing). The PTO is driven by an engine via a master clutch between a crankshaft of the engine and an input shaft in a gearbox. The gear box further comprises an output shaft which is powered by the input shaft, optionally via an intermediate shaft. A power take-off is connected to the input shaft or, optionally, to the intermediate shaft. The system further includes a control unit connected to the master clutch and the gear box. When the control unit registers that the master clutch is disengaged, a gear is engaged in the gearbox and certain conditions are fulfilled (e.g. a parking brake has been actuated for a certain time), the control unit performs the operations of putting the gearbox in a neutral position, disable the power take-off, if the power take-off is enabled, and engage the master clutch.

    • Method and arrangement for facilitating hill-starting of a stationary motor vehicle. The method includes applying at least one braking device using a brake pedal and estimating the traveling resistance of the vehicle using a control unit (30). The control unit (30) determines a starting gear, a starting torque and a starting speed with regard to the estimated traveling resistance. The driver releases the brake pedal and the brakes are kept applied for a certain time. The driver operates an accelerator pedal to a position at least corresponding to the minimum transmitted torque and a clutch device (2) for a gearbox (3) is activated by the control unit (30) when the starting speed has been achieved. The control unit (30) releases the braking devices as a function of the increase in the transmitted driving torque of the clutch.

    • This system and method provides a direction finding system that enables modern RF DF systems to analyze short duration signals in the entire instantaneous bandwidth. By providing a method to process wideband data, the invention drastically improves throughput and probability of intercept (POI). The invention is unique in that it does not require separate narrowband channels for analysis, and can simultaneously calculate azimuth and elevation estimates for every frequency in the bandwidth of an incident signal. It is also well-suited for fixed point, FPGA implementations making it a perfect match for modern state-of-the-art processing systems. The system and method capitalizes on the ability of Fourier Frequency Transform operations to accurately resolve incident wave phase at discrete frequencies. The system then uses the phase information from the individual elements in the array to arrive at an emitter azimuth angle. The azimuth angle is nearly simultaneously used in concert with lookup tables of all possible elevation angles to compare the arrival time delay between the array elements to determine emitter elevation angle.
