    • The invention relates to a device for processing material by mixing and/or plasticating, comprising at least two conical screws (2, 3) which are arranged next to each other in a common screw casing (1) and the flights of which engage with one another and are driven to rotate in the same direction of rotation about the respective screw axis (4, 5) by at least one motor, with the material that is to be processed being fed to the screws (2, 3) through at least one feed opening (6) in the screw casing (1) which is arranged in the feed zone (E) of one end face of the screws (2, 3), and with the material that has been processed by the screws (2, 3) leaving the screw casing (1) through at least one outlet opening (7) in the screw casing (1) that is arranged in the discharge zone (A) of the other end face of the screws (2, 3). In order to provide advantageous plasticating conditions it is proposed that the ratio of the numerical values of the screw outside diameter (c, d) to the profile overlap, i.e. to the overlapping area of the two screws (2, 3), both in the feed zone (E) and in the discharge zone (A) is in the range of between one to one and one to two.

    • The invention relates to a device for granulation of an ejected material from at least one nozzle (7), in particular a thermoplastic plastic, with a perforated plate (2) comprising the nozzles (7). A blade head (10) supporting several blades (11) lies opposite the same, fixed to a shaft (9) which is rotatably driven by a motor (13). The motor (13) is suspended such as to be displaced relative to the housing (1) by means of a suspension (15), however the above is suspended in such a manner that displacement is only possible in the direction of the axis (8) of the shaft (9) and not in a radial direction. The suspension (15) comprises at least one membrane (14) which suspends the motor (13) on the granulator housing (1). The motor (13) can be adjusted relative to the perforated plate (2) by means of an adjuster device (27), such that the desired pressure of the blade on the perforated plate (2) is maintained. The excised granulate particles are drawn out of the housing (1) by means of coolant.

    • An apparatus for filling a screw (7) bearingly supported within a housing (6), in particular of an extruder, for processing of pre-comminuted synthetic plastics material, in particular PET, has a filling opening (5) for the screw housing (6). This filling opening (5) is in flow connection with the lower outflow opening (4) of an upright receptacle 81) for the material to be processed. Within the receptacle (1), tools (30, 31) circulate around a preferably vertical axis, and they act on the material positioned within the receptacle (1). This material is introduced into the evacuable receptacle (1) through a sluice (60). A quickly circulating tool (30) for creating a mixing cone (71) is disposed between an upper interior portion (68) and a lower interior portion (69) of the receptacle (1). Within the lower interior portion (69) that constitutes a dwell space for the heated plastics material that has reached it for thermal homogenization thereof, also circulating tools (31) are disposed, which, however, are mere mixing tools without substantial introduction of power, so that within this dwell space an agglomeration of the plastics material is avoided.

    • A device for controlling the flow of plastics material, heated until flowable, through a housing, in particular a filtering device or a direction-control device for the plastics material, comprises a flow channel extending through the housing, and a plunger of circular cross-section longitudinally displaced in a bore of the housing transversely to the longitudinal direction of the flow channel. The plunger crosses the flow channel. An unslotted scraper ring is mounted outside the housing on a portion of the plunger projecting from the housing and is held by a stop so that the plunger is displaceable relative to the scraper ring. The inner diameter (d2) of the scraper ring is smaller than the diameter (d0) of the bore of the housing and also smaller than the diameter (d1) of the end of the plunger portion remote from the housing in the coldest operating state of that plunger portion. The scraper ring is always pretensioned on the plunger portion and therefore reliably scrapes off leaked material adhering to and carried by the plunger when the latter moves out of the housing.
