    • Systems and methods are disclosed to manage power in a custom integrated circuit (IC) design by receiving a specification of the custom integrated circuit including computer readable code and generating a profile of the computer readable code to determine instruction usage; automatically generating a processor architecture uniquely customized to the computer readable code, the processor architecture having one or more processing blocks and one or more power domains; determining when each processing block is needed based on the code profile and assigning each block to one of the power domains; and gating the power domains with power based on the code profile; and synthesizing the generated architecture into a computer readable description of the custom integrated circuit for semiconductor fabrication.

    • A disc recliner mechanism includes travel stops to limit angular movement of a seat back through a defined range. At least one pawl on a guide plate of the disc recliner mechanism includes a guide boss with a pair of opposite stop surfaces that contact a respective travel stop formed on a tooth plate of the disc recliner mechanism to limit the range of rotational movement of the tooth plate. The guide boss includes a guide surface which engages a guideway on the tooth plate to provide a free movement range wherein the tooth plate can be rotated through the free movement range without requiring the operation of a release mechanism. The guideways on the tooth plate and the guide bosses on the pawls are designed such that the tooth plate and pawls can be formed with simple stamping operations.

    • A recliner assembly for operatively interconnecting a seat back and a seat cushion allowing pivotal adjustment of the seat back relative to the seat cushion. The recliner assembly comprises an inner disc fixedly secured to the seat cushion and an outer disc fixedly secured to the seat back. The outer disc is rotatably nested within the inner dis and includes an annular rim of gear teeth extending radially inwardly. At least one pawl is adapted for lockingly engaging the annular rim of gear teeth on the outer disc and is disposed between the inner and outer discs. The pawl is radially moveable between a locked position, wherein the pawl is lockingly engaged with the annular rim of gear teeth on the outer disc, and an unlocked position, wherein the pawl is disengaged from the annular rim of gear teeth on the outer disc. A biasing member extends between the pawl and the inner disc for biasing the pawl in the locked position. A cam shaft assembly is rotatably journaled to both of the inner and outer discs for actuating the pawl between the locked and unlocked positions. The cam shaft assembly comprises a cylindrical shaft and a cam. The cylindrical shaft has proximal and distal ends. An annular shoulder is formed in the cylindrical shaft disposed between the proximal and distal ends and extending radially outwardly from the shaft. An annular recess formed in the annular shoulder. A ramped surface extends from the annular recess and tapers towards the proximal end. The cam has a center bore and a plurality of teeth extending radially inwardly from the bore. The cam has a hardness greater than that of the shaft. The cam is press fit onto the shaft and locating axially against the annular shoulder, such that material scraped from the shaft during assembly of the cam onto the shaft is displaced into the annular recess to ensure the proper alignment of the cam against the annular shoulder of the shaft.

    • Systems and methods are disclosed to automatically generate a custom integrated circuit (IC) design by receiving a specification of the custom IC including computer readable code to be executed by the custom IC; generating an abstraction of the IC as a system, processor architecture and micro-architecture (SAMA) representation; providing the SAMA representation to a data model having at least an architecture optimization view, a physical design view, and a software tool view; optimizing the processor architecture by iteratively updating the SAMA representation and the data model to automatically generate a processor architecture uniquely customized to the computer readable code which satisfies one or more constraints; and synthesizing the generated architecture into a computer readable description of the custom integrated circuit for semiconductor fabrication. The foregoing can be done with no or minimal human involvement.
