    • A method for operating an HVAC system includes the steps of adjusting a heating temperature of a heat exchanger disposed in a first flow passage, directing a first partial air mass flow through the first flow passage, directing a second partial air mass flow through a second flow passage, and directing the first partial air mass flow and the second partial air mass flow downstream of the first flow passage and the second flow passage, wherein the heating temperature of the heat exchanger required to at least one of achieve and maintain a desired climate in the passenger compartment of the vehicle is set as a maximum heating temperature for the heat exchanger, and wherein only an amount of energy required to at least one of achieve and maintain a desired climate in the passenger compartment of the vehicle is added to the HVAC system.

    • The invention relates to an HVAC device for a vehicle including an inlet casing, an air distribution casing, and a blower located in a blower casing for drawing air through the inlet casing and delivering the air into the air distribution casing. The device further includes an evaporator in the air distribution casing and a drainage system below the evaporator for draining off liquid condensed out of the air at the surface of the evaporator into the environment of the HVAC device. The inlet casing is positioned such that liquid penetrating the inlet casing accumulates in a lower area of the inlet casing. Between the lower area of the inlet casing and the drainage system of the liquid condensed out at the evaporator, a hydraulic connection is configured such that the liquid is drainable from the inlet easing past the blower casing and evaporator into the drainage system.

    • A modular system for a 1-to-4 zone climate control system for vehicles, which is provided with at least one housing and several air tempering and air distribution devices including a fan, optionally a filter, an evaporator, a heater and several doors arranged at a partition that is placed orthogonal to the evaporator and provided to divide the total volume flow into two partial volume flows for the left and right vehicle sides. In the first configuration the partition is provided with several blind fittings for the closing of the flow paths associated with air outlets and air channels of a second configuration. In the second configuration, the blind fittings are replaced with additional doors enabling the use of the air outlets and air channels of additional zones.
