摘要： A system and method for transmitting data bursts over a constant data rate link that transmits a continuous stream of data is disclosed. A transmitter node accesses a region in a memory to form a continuous stream of data, wherein the region is a circular buffer and is accessed in a circular manner. The continuous stream of data is transmitted from the circular buffer, wherein the circular buffer initially contains dummy data. A data burst is stored in the circular buffer at a selected location and a control message is transmitted with an indication of the selected location of the data burst in the circular buffer. The data burst is transmitted as part of the continuous stream of data from the circular buffer.

The methods may be used to identify counterfeit articles, such as, for example, medications including those in the form of tablets, pills or capsules. The methods may use a micro-X ray diffraction method to scan marks as small as, for instance, 300 μm made of X-ray visible compounds. The methods may provide 2-D or 3-D maps of these marks using selected peaks from the collected X-ray diffraction patterns and may be used to certify the authenticity of drug tablets, for instance by mapping hidden marks printed under tablet coatings and on packages.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a system architecture capable of processing fixed length and/or variable length data packets. Under the method of the invention, incoming data packets are queued together according to their corresponding switch processing parameters (SPPs), and then the commonly-queued data packets are processed through a switch fabric as a single unit. In one aspect of the invention, the commonly-queued data packets are processed by the switch fabric as a single train packet. In another aspect of the invention, the commonly-queued data packets are sliced into a set of subtrain packets. A switch fabric then processes the set of subtrain packets in parallel using a plurality of switch planes. Both aspects of the invention can be implemented with a plurality of packet formatters and deformatters linked to a switch fabric in various configurations, including multi-path and hierarchical switching systems. a multichannel switching system.
