    • A vehicle control apparatus mounted on a vehicle includes: a first starting system provided with a first electric motor coupled to an engine, and a first power storage coupled to the first electric motor; a second starting system provided with a second electric motor coupled to the engine, and a second power storage coupled to the second electric motor; and an engine controller that stops the engine based on a stop condition and restarts the engine using the first starting system, based on a start condition. When an abnormality occurs in the first starting system in a state where the engine has been stopped based on the stop condition, the engine controller restarts the engine using the second starting system.

The diagnostic device includes: an actual hydraulic pressure detection unit to detect an actual hydraulic pressure; a determination value setting unit to set a high pressure fixation determination value which is increased as the driving revolution rate is increased so as to substantially match a characteristic of the actuator at a time of high pressure fixation; and a fixation determination unit to determine high pressure fixation of the actuator when the actual hydraulic pressure substantially matches the high pressure fixation determination value with a difference between the target line pressure and the upper limit line pressure not lower than a predetermined value.

    • A diagnostic device for a shift control actuator of a CVT includes: a variator; a chamber that is filled with and discharges hydraulic fluid for an upshift and a downshift, respectively; an upshift control valve for filling hydraulic fluid into the chamber; a downshift control valve for discharging hydraulic fluid from the chamber; a fail-safe valve for suspending the discharge of hydraulic fluid from the chamber when the upshift control valve is in a filling state; actuators for driving the upshift and downshift control valves; and a shift controller for controlling the actuators so that an actual shift ratio approaches a target ratio. The shift controller determines the state of the actuators with the information on the actual shift ratio when the controller instructs a downshift or an upshift.
