    • An integrated cooling system for cooling systems such as laptops or subsystems such as a graphics card is disclosed. An integrated cooling system includes a first layer having a contact area configured for coupling to a heat source, wherein the first layer has a fluid path passes adjacent to the contact area where the heat source is in thermal contact with first layer. Coupled to the first layer is a second layer to which a number of air fins are attached. The invention includes a pump that is connected to the fluid path forming a closed path for circulating a fluid through the first layer. Within the first layer, the fluid path will contain a plurality of fluid fins which control the flow of a fluid within the fluid path. Within the fluid path, a structure providing a double-counter flow adjacent to one or more electronic devices. Additionally the fluid path can include a microchannel plate structure. The system can include a includes a programmable controller connect the an air-mover, pump and temperature sensing device. A reservoir can be connected to the fluid path.

    • A method of handling a fault in a battery pack, the method comprising: a battery module supplying a voltage to a high-voltage circuit; a battery management system transmitting a heartbeat signal to the battery module via a fault bus; the battery module preventing the heartbeat signal from being transmitted back to the battery management system in response to the battery module detecting a critical condition; and the battery management system shutting off the supply of voltage from the battery module to the high-voltage circuit in response to the battery module preventing the heartbeat signal from being transmitted back to the battery management system. The battery module transmits battery data to the battery management system via a communication bus, which is distinct from the fault bus, and the battery management system transmits one or more commands to the battery module via the communication bus.

    • The present invention discloses a method for joint secondary synchronization signal detection and frame timing synchronization, including: (1) generating local secondary synchronization sequences SSC1—n and SSC2—n according to a sector number of a cell group; (2) converting a received time domain signal to a frequency domain signal to obtain secondary synchronization signals S1 and S2 to be detected; (3) performing inner product operation to obtain P1—n=P1—n−1+[S1,SSC1—n]+[S2,SSC2—n], and P2—n=P2—n−1+[S1,SSC2—n]+[S2,SSC1—n]; (4) selecting the maximum value P of absolute values of correlation values in the P1—n and P2—n, and judging whether the maximum value P is greater than a preset threshold Tmax, (5) if yes, taking the index of the maximum value P as an ID number of the cell group, or else, further carrying out step (2), and then further carrying out step (3).
