    • A heat recovery device for use with a portable incinerator. The heat recovery device comprises first and second legs which support a heat exchanger thereon. An air flow path is formed from the bottom to the top of the first leg, through the heat exchanger and from the top to the bottom of the second leg. An open space is provided between the two legs and below the heat exchanger. A portable incinerator may be placed within this open space. When solid waste is burned within the incinerator, the exhaust port of the incinerator lies below the heat exchanger. A blower attached to the lower portion of the first leg creates air flow through the heat recovery device such that the air is heated in the heat exchanger by heat produced from the exhaust port of the portable incinerator. A tube is then coupled to the second leg in order to direct the heated air flow to the interior of an adjacent building. The present invention therefore allows solid waste to be burned and the heat thereby produced is recovered for heating of the building. However, it is not necessary to exit the building every time it is desired to dispose of solid waste. Instead, the solid waste is collected within the portable incinerator inside the building and the portable incinerator is installed in the heat recovery device only when a sufficient quantity of solid waste has been collected for incineration.

A valuable additional feature of the invention is a complete electrostatic shield around the amplifier-transmitter as well as the electode leads, so that the small amount of residual capacitive coupling to the amplifier circuit itself is effectively shunted to the same average (body) potential as that of the electrodes.

The incinerator pre-fill chamber includes an elongated case having a first opening aligned in sealing relationship with a second opening disposed in the lid of the incinerator such that when said pre-fill chamber is mounted on the incinerator lid the combustible material can pass from said pre-fill chamber through said first and second openings. The pre-fill chamber further includes a plunger with a platen, at least one side door that opens for loading the material to be burned into the pre-fill chamber, and a trap door that opens when the plunger is actuated thereby permitting the material to pass through the first opening of the pre-fill chamber.

    • An apparatus and method for controlling wafer temperature and environment is provided. The apparatus includes a batch processing fixture for batch processing wafers at a first elevated temperature. The batch of wafers is not substantially ramped in temperature within the batch processing fixture. The apparatus also includes a single wafer processing apparatus for rapidly ramping temperature of a wafer of the batch from the first elevated temperature wherein a uniform temperature across the wafer is maintained during the ramping. Another embodiment of the apparatus (10) includes an RTP chamber (20) having an inert or reducing environment and that includes a pedestal (24) for holding a single wafer (16) and a heater unit (22) arranged so as to uniformly and rapidly heat the single wafer. The apparatus also includes a cooling chamber (30) having an inert or reducing environment and located adjacent the RTP chamber and selectively open thereto, and includes a pedestal (34) for holding the single wafer, a first loading chamber (40) having an inert or reducing environment and located adjacent the cooling chamber and selectively opened thereto, and having a cassette (44) for holding one or more wafers. The apparatus also includes a thermal processing chamber (50), such as an LPCVD furnace, located adjacent the loading chamber and arranged to receive the cassette so as to perform a thermal process of the wafers in the cassette.
