摘要： A rugged, long lasting, transparent housing of a domed shape protects an embedded solar panel. More particularly, the solar panel is embedded in a polymer in a utilized, potted construction. The use of polyurethane as the polymer produces a durable product which is transparent and resistant to both thermal and mechanical stresses. The domed top over the solar panel improves the solar panel's ability to capture light and thus to operate in locations where the incidence of light is at a low angle as is found in northern latitudes.

摘要： This invention relates to a new and improved windshield assembly for use with a conventional child safety car seat in a motor vehicle with an open top. The invention also relates to a means of securing the windshield to the child safety car seat using its existing automobile safety belt attachment slots. The object of the invention is to protect the child from harsh direct wind, pebbles, insects and exposure to excessive sunlight while the child is riding in a motor vehicle with an open top. The windshield envisioned is made of a rigid transparent photosensitive material which either changes sun screening characteristics in response to a change in light intensity or is composed of transparent tinted plastic which decreases or otherwise filters incident light. The windshield is designed to allow the child to enjoy the view by enabling him or her to see clearly through the device and likewise to enable adults to see the child.

摘要： An image capturing device is robotically positioned and oriented in response to operator manipulation of a master control device. An unused degree-of-freedom of the master control device is used to adjust an attribute such as focusing of the image capturing device relative to a continually updated set-point. A deadband is provided to avoid inadvertent adjusting of the image capturing device attribute and haptic feedback is provided back to the master control device so that the operator is notified when adjusting of the attribute is initiated.

摘要： A tubular stent includes a plurality of bands aligned generally along a common longitudinal axis. A first band has a plurality of first crowns and a second band adjacent to the first band has a plurality of second crowns. A connecting ring connects the first band to the second band, wherein one of the first crowns is rotatably disposed through a lumen of the connecting ring and one of the second crowns is fused to the wall of the connecting ring outside of the lumen of the connecting ring. Methods of making tubular stents with rotatable connections are also disclosed.

摘要： An apparatus for forming a wave form for a stent from a wire includes a pair of tension wires configured to rotate about an axis. The tension wires and axis are substantially orthogonal to the stent wire disposed in a gap between the tension wires. When the tension wires are rotated, a bend is formed in the portion of the stent wire disposed between the tension wires. The tension wires may be controlled such that the axis of rotation is aligned with the particular tension wire around which the stent wire is to be bent for each particular bend formed in the stent wire, thereby preventing the particular tension wire from translating during rotation such that the tension wire behaves like a rotary pipe bending die around which the stent wire is bent. A feed assembly feeds the stent wire into the forming area between the tension wires.
