摘要： A method for aerosolizing a liquid comprises providing an aerosol generator having a plate with a plurality of apertures and a piezoelectric element to vibrate the plate. Liquid is supplied to the plate, and the piezoelectric element is energized to vibrate the plate at an initial frequency. The energy level is adjusted to vibrate the plate at its instantaneous resonant frequency during aerosolization of the liquid.

摘要： A device for nebulizing a fluid is supplied which has a flow director. The flow director helps to direct any bubbles formed by the nebulizing device away from the nebulizing device. The nebulizing device has a vibrating element with apertures through which the fluid is dispensed. A dispensing chamber is defined between the flow director and the vibrating element. The dispensing chamber has an inlet which is positioned below an outlet so that bubbles naturally migrate up and away from the vibrating element.

摘要： The described invention relates to a medical device for substantially sized uniform ablation of animal or human tissue comprising of a bipolar generator for generating radio frequency at an electrode, a polarity alternator, a probe having a handle, and an elongated member, and a tip at the far end of the distal end suitable for insertion into tissue. The elongated member has a proximal and distal end with an electrode cluster of three or more electrodes located on the distal end of the elongated member. The electrodes are electrically insulated from each other and at least two of the electrodes have dissimilar polarity from each other wherein at least one of the electrodes has a high voltage polarity and at least one of the electrodes has a return polarity. During ablation, the polarity alternator changes the polarity of the electrodes to cycle lesion formation along the length of the electrode cluster repeatedly from electrode to electrode to form a spherical or near spherical lesion at the distal tip equal in diameter to the length of the cluster.

摘要： A method of treating an intervertebral disc includes actively steering a heat-delivery device in two dimensions to a region of a treatment site within the intervertebral disc, and heating the region of the treatment site. A heating element of the heat-delivery device includes various configurations to provide a large heating profile in order to heat, and cause denervation at, substantially all of the region of the treatment site.

The device is a wearable frame equipped with a series of leaf or coil springs where the spring forces are adjusted so that the forces are applied parallel to the spine and are equal to or greater than the individual's body weight above the device. The compressed springs apply enough opposing force to transfer the downward force resulting from the weight to the body above the device to anatomy below the device while allowing normal spine motion relative to the body.
