摘要： A method and an apparatus of image and video compression, decoding and display procedure includes: image and video compression by taking the digitized one color per pixel format instead of RGB or YUV per pixel. Manipulation of video decompression and the color processing before being presented to the display device saves the density and I/O bandwidth of the storage device and transmission time. The digitized color components are compressed and stored in the referencing frame buffer and decompressed block by block before motion estimation.

摘要： The differential values of adjacent pixels of a group of pixels are calculated and are re-ordered by referring to the magnitude of pixels of a neighboring line. Another time of calculation of differential values of the re-ordered differential values of adjacent pixels is done and the results go through a procedure of a variable length coding. When complex pattern happened, a market code is asserted to break the calculating the differences of adjacent pixels followed by a new raw pixel data as a reference for a new group of pixel. The variable length coding only keeps the “Quotient” and “Remainder” with the “Divider” implicitly done by prediction.

摘要： Audio compression/decompression codec is applied to reduce the data rate during wireless transmission and receiving resulting in higher efficiency of transmission bandwidth which allows scheduled time to turn on and shut off the transmission and receiving devices. The average values of a predetermined amount of audio samples within a pack of audio are inserted into the compressed audio data as references in recovering the audio data. When small amount of audio data are lost during transmission, some recovered audio samples are repeated to represent the lost data within a pack of audio data. Should the variance of a certain amount of data samples are high, some un-compressed audio data will be packed and sent out to maintain the audio quality.

摘要： This invention provides an efficient method of error tracking which quickly recovers the error packet of data. A side information is sent along with a normal video stream that can be used by an intermediate network node in order to improve the quality of the video transmission. The intermediate node receives the original video stream as well as the side information and uses the side information to reduce the error propagation. The error tracking is signaled from the intermediate node to the mobile phone device and the intermediate network node functions the error correction. The side information can then be used to refresh or update those areas that are affected by error concealment and error propagation.

Should variance range of a block pixel of an intra-coded frame or block pixel differences of a non-intra coding frame is less than predetermined thresholds, the DC coefficient is represented by a predetermined value, or a certain amount of AC coefficients are calculated.

The majority pixels of video stream which have been compressed and saved into a storage device have no data loss compared to the original raw image data is compressed by a method so named as “lossless” compression algorithm. When outputting the compressed image, a decompression engine is to reconstruct the compressed image into the raw image firstly and output to a display device. Another mechanism of outputting the decompressed image of raw image is to re-compress it into another image format with a certain amount of pixels having data loss compared to original image.
