An apparatus for reading identification information of a biosensor is provided, including: a biosensor sensing unit detecting the biosensor; a light-emitting unit emitting light on an identification information recording unit when the biosensor sensing unit detects the biosensor, the identification information recording unit having the identification information of the biosensor recorded thereon; a light-receiving unit that receives the light emitted from the light-emitting unit, and reflected or refracted by or passing through the identification information recording section; and an identification information reading unit analyzing the light received by the light-receiving unit and reading the identification information of the biosensor.

    • A reaction cassette for a glycated hemoglobin meter and a measuring method thereof are provided. The reaction cassette for the glycated hemoglobin meter includes: a first zone receiving a first reagent and a blood sample; a second zone receiving a second reagent; a reaction zone in which the blood sample reacts with the first reagent, or through which the second reagent passes to react with a first blood sample mixture obtained by reacting the blood sample with the first reagent; and a measurement zone measuring an amount of total hemoglobin in the first blood sample mixture, or measuring an amount of glycated hemoglobin in a second blood sample mixture obtained by reacting the first blood sample mixture with the second reagent, wherein the blood sample, the first reagent, and the second reagent move between the reaction zone and the measurement zone according to a rotation angle of the reaction cassette when the reaction cassette is rotated. Therefore, since the reaction cassette rotates automatically, it is possible to measure the amount of glycated hemoglobin in a blood sample through simple manipulation and reduce a manufacturing time. Furthermore, since reagents are supplied to the reaction cassette from a separate reagent pack, it is possible to resolve storage and distribution problems of the reaction cassette, which occur when reagents are stored in the reaction cassette.

    • A solid immersion mirror (SIM) type objective lens and an optical pickup employing the same. The objective lens has a first curved surface which condenses incident light and a second curved surface surrounding the first curved surface which diverges incident light. A second transmission surface disposed to face the first transmission surface has an area which transmits incident light and a first reflection surface surrounding the second transmission surface which reflects incident light. A second reflection surface which surrounds the second curved reflects incident light. The objective lens realizes an NA of 0.7 or more with a single lens; has a working distance enabling far field recording/reproducing; has a smaller blocking area than that of the conventional SIM; and generates a smaller amount of side lobe. Where the objective lens is adopted in an optical pickup device, generation of jitter during reproduction or cross erasure during recording is minimized.
