    • A rotating seat for suspension from a play set structure includes a seat body rotatable about a generally vertical axis with an upper seating surface configured to support a user, an elongated suspending element configured to support the seat body from the play set structure, and a handle assembly operably coupled with the suspending element to cause rotation of the seat body relative to the axis upon actuation by the user. The suspending element extends substantially vertically, presents opposite upper and lower end margins, is configured to operably couple with the play set structure along the upper end margin, and is operably coupled with the seat body at a location spaced from the upper end margin. A damped pivot connection assembly configured to operably secure the suspending element with the play set structure and allow restrained pivoting movement of the suspending element relative to a fixed bracket of the connection assembly is also disclosed.

    • A stand-on swing for suspension from a playset structure includes a platform member presenting an upper surface on which the user may stand. The swing also includes a pair of elongated, rigid suspension bars each presenting upper and lower ends. The bars are pivotally connectable to the structure adjacent the upper ends so as to depend therefrom, with the lower ends being spaced from the ground. The swing further includes a pair of lower pivot joints pivotally connecting the suspension bars to the platform member adjacent the lower ends thereof, with the platform member and bars being swingable in a fore-and-aft direction. The bars are bowed so as to present intermediate sections that are spaced further apart than the upper and lower ends. Further, the bars terminate above or generally at the platform member so that the lower ends are prevented from being spaced substantially downward beyond the platform member.

    • An electrically powered toothbrush comprises a body having a first end, a head opposite from the first end, and a neck extending between the first end and the head. The body defines a hollow region therewithin. An electrical motor and a power source are disposed in the hollow region within the body. A drive shaft having a longitudinal axis of rotation and a distal end offset from the axis of rotation is operatively connected to the motor for rotational movement. A base pivotally secured to the head by a laterally extending pivot member has a receiving channel for receiving the distal end of the drive shaft. A first bristle carrier is secured to the base, and a second bristle carrier is disposed on the head between the first bristle carrier and the first end. Rotation of the drive shaft causes its distal end to move within the receiving channel thereby causing the base with the first bristle carrier to pivot about the laterally extending pivot member.

    • A hand-held device for shredding paper comprising a pair of rotary cutting wheels disposed within a housing between an inlet slot and an outlet slot. A motor is positioned in the handle to drive the cutting wheels through a gear assembly. One wheel serves as a drive wheel, which is coupled directly to the gear assembly, and the other wheel serves as an idler, driven from a spur gear attached to the drive wheel at the end opposite a gear case. Paper sheets are fed into the inlet slot and pulled between the wheels. Wheels are comprised of a stack of alternating discs of a large and small radius, and staggered so as to allow the two wheels to be interleaved while rotating in opposite (clockwise and counterclockwise) directions and maintain clearance. Large discs have a frictional edge to grab and feed the paper into the intersection of the wheels, tearing the paper into strips and forcing the strips into the outlet slot. A battery compartment in the handle contains the batteries for energizing the motor.
