    • An information processing apparatus includes a receiver configured to receive a packet via a communication line, an operating processor configured to suspend an operation thereof when the information processing apparatus is in an energy saving mode, a first storage configured to store the packet received by the receiver, a determining unit including a table in which different operations of the operating processor are recorded in association with different patterns of packets and configured to determine whether to restart the operating processor when the information processing apparatus is in the energy saving mode based on a pattern of the packet stored in the first storage and the patterns of the packets in association with the operations of the operating processor recorded in the table, and a power manager configured to supply power to the operating processor based on a result determined by the determining unit to restart the operating processor.

    • A running control device for an electric vehicle includes: a first calculation unit that calculates a predetermined reference torque required for braking/driving the motor that provides a beneficial effect with regard to power consumption of the electric vehicle; a second calculation unit that calculates interval allocation between a first interval in which the electric vehicle is propelled by braking/driving the motor at the predetermined reference torque and a second interval in which the electric vehicle is coasted without the motor being braked or driven; a third calculation unit that calculates a control requested torque for braking/driving the motor intermittently, so as alternatingly to repeat running of the electric vehicle in the first intervals and coasting of the electric vehicle in the second intervals; and a running control unit that performs running control of the electric vehicle by braking/driving the motor intermittently according to the control requested torque.

    • An electrically operated brake device in which braking force differences between electrically operated brakes are reduced to prevent unstable vehicle traveling during braking.Motors 13 of electrically operated brakes are returned to standard positions during the stop of a vehicle and the motor 13 of each of the brakes is driven for a predetermined amount, pressing a brake pad 17 against a disc rotor 18 to produce a braking force.An electric current value of each motor 13 in the above operation is measured and differences between the values are calculated. Electric current of each motor is increased or decreased so that there is no current difference between the motors 13. Based on a drive amount of each motor in this operation, standard positions of the motors are determined and updated. Repeating the above operations reduces braking force differences between the brakes.
