摘要： A process and an apparatus for producing a honeycomb body include forming a metallic honeycomb structure having cavities through which a fluid can at least partially flow, and bringing at least one end side of the honeycomb structure into contact with a metallic melt having a lower melting point than the metallic honeycomb structure. The process and the apparatus allow layers of sheet metal to be intimately and permanently joined in an advantageous manner in joining regions by placing at least one end face of a honeycomb structure of the honeycomb body in contact with a metallic melt which has a lower melting point than the honeycomb structure and contains aluminum, for example. A honeycomb body which is produced by the method or the apparatus is also provided.

The method includes the steps of choosing a mean brazing material diameter of a powder brazing material, said diameter being 15% smaller than the height of the wave; determining a minimum thickness of the glue strip according to equation; gluing at least partially structured foil within the width of the glue strip on at least part of the wave crests formed by the undulation; brazing the honeycomb structure. The invention also relates to a corresponding honeycomb structure that ensures satisfactory joint connections even when said structure is used in the exhaust systems of automobiles.

摘要： A device and method for providing a gaseous substance mixture which includes at least one reducing agent and/or at least one reducing agent precursor, includes a reservoir for an aqueous solution which includes at least one reducing agent precursor that can be flow connected to an evaporator chamber, and a device for dosing the aqueous solution in the evaporator chamber. A device can heat the evaporator chamber to a temperature higher than or equal to a critical temperature, in which the aqueous solution is at least partially evaporated. The device and method enable reducing agent to be provided for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust of an internal combustion engine. Preferably, an evaporator unit is configured as the evaporator chamber and a hydrolysis catalytic converter is disposed outside the exhaust system. As a result, the size of the hydrolysis catalytic converter is reduced, allowing compact construction.

The carrier body is positioned downstream of the supply in the flow direction, and the carrier body has at least one metallic base body at least partially including a coating with a storage capability for the reducing agent. Two methods for the dosed provision of a reducing agent, especially a solid reducing agent, are also provided. The methods and device allow economical use of the reducing agent while guaranteeing an approximately 100% reaction of the nitrogen oxides contained in the exhaust gas.

The method and the honeycomb body advantageously permit an annular honeycomb body with low material expenditure and good durability to be produced.

摘要： A method positions a sensor in a honeycomb body which is provided with hollow spaces that can be penetrated at least in part by an exhaust gas. The sensor is placed in an area of the honeycomb body in which at least one minimum hydrogen concentration occurs when the honeycomb body is operated in the emission system of a motor vehicle. The sensor positioning method allows the sensor to be placed in the honeycomb body in such a way that systematic errors that occur are kept as small as possible as a result of an inherent transverse sensitivity of the sensor to hydrogen. This applies especially to lambda probes. A honeycomb body contains the sensor which is placed so as to supply particularly reliable test data whose systematic error is as small as possible.
