摘要： Apertured polymeric layers, sheets, mesh or films are provided for a variety of different applications. A polymeric sheet comprises at least one polymer layer having one or more apertures for flow of gas or liquid therethrough, and a plurality of nanoparticles disposed within the polymer sheet such that the nanoparticles are disposed between a first surface of the polymer sheet and a second surface opposite the first surface. The nanoparticles filter contaminants passing through the polymeric sheet. The apertured sheets may comprise filter media and/or support membranes for filter media in gas or liquid filters. The nanoparticles reduce the overall pressure drop across the support membranes to improve the efficiency of such filters.

摘要： Embodiments of emission reduction system including various embodiments of an emission filters for a power plant including a gas turbine are disclosed. The system includes: an emission filter; and a retraction system operably coupled to an exhaust passage of the gas turbine. The exhaust passage defines an exhaust path of exhaust from the gas turbine. The retraction system selectively moves the emission filter between a first location within the exhaust path and a second location out of the exhaust path. In a combined cycle power plant, the first location is upstream of a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). The systems and filters described allow for temporary positioning of emission filter(s) just downstream of a gas turbine exhaust outlet, or upstream of an HRSG, where provided, for emission reduction at low loads or startup conditions, and removal of the emission filter(s) once operations move to higher loads.

A glass catalyst is disposed on the surface of the substrate such that an exhaust gas contacts at least a portion of a surface of the glass catalyst as the exhaust gas moves within the diesel soot filter. The glass catalyst comprises a plurality of alkali metal ions disposed within the glass catalyst and releasable to the surface of the glass catalyst at a controlled rate and the alkali metal ions combust with the soot as the exhaust gas travels along the fluid path. 摘要： Disclosed is a diesel particle filter with a ceramic filter body and a method for producing the filter body. The ceramic filter body includes gas channels provided in a filter section with planar and porous filter walls. The filter walls provide throughflow of the exhaust gas flow perpendicular to the surfaces thereof. The filter body includes at least one catalytic section for catalytic purification of the exhaust gas flow. The filter body together with the filter section and the at least one ceramic section are made in one-piece from at least one ceramic impregnated fiber web. Gas channels are formed by sintering the fiber web at a temperature such that fibers of the fiber material are burned away and the ceramic material is monolithically sinter-bonded in one-piece with the at least one catalytic section and the filter section to produce the filter body.

摘要： A highly porous substrate is provided using an extrusion system. More particularly, the present invention enables the production of a highly porous substrate. Depending on the particular mixture, the present invention enables substrate porosities of about 60% to about 90%, and enables advantages at other porosities, as well. The extrusion system enables the use of a wide variety of fibers and additives, and is adaptable to a wide variety of operating environments and applications. Fibers, which have an aspect ratio greater than 1, are selected according to substrate requirements, and are typically mixed with binders, pore-formers, extrusion aids, and fluid to form a homogeneous extrudable mass. The homogeneous mass is extruded into a green substrate. The more volatile material is preferentially removed from the green substrate, which allows the fibers to form interconnected networks. As the curing process continues, fiber to fiber bonds are formed to produce a structure having a substantially open pore network. The resulting porous substrate is useful in many applications, for example, as a substrate for a filter or catalyst host, or catalytic converter.
