摘要： A coupling for attaching a pair of longitudinally aligned rotatable shafts. It has a pair of circular hubs having a bore through a central axis. A shaft is fixed within each bore. A circular power ring is positioned between the hubs. Either the hubs or the power ring have circular apertures through and spaced around each hub and a hollow bushing positioned in each circular aperture. The other of the hubs or the power ring has mating coupling pins extending outwardly mounted within a corresponding one of the hollow bushings. Preferably an end of the coupling pins mating with the bushings have a generally truncated spherical, bulbous configuration with an outside diameter about 5% to about 25% greater than an outside diameter of its opposite end. Preferably elastically deformable, solid cylindrical spacers are attached to, and projecting between each circular hub and the circular power ring.

摘要： A cutter assembly and high volume submersible shredder pump. These are for reducing the size of solids within a liquid which is to be pumped by chopping, grinding, shredding or cutting. An improvement over prior designs employs a cutting assembly having a rotary cutter and a cup-shaped, concave, plate cutter having a circular horizontal cross-section. The plate cutter is adapted for mounting to an intake opening of a stationary volute, associated with a shredder pump. The cutting assembly has cutting lobes having a grooved surface which mate with corresponding grooves of the shaped, concave, plate cutter. As a result, many more cutting surfaces are provided which more effectively and quickly shred the solid materials within the liquid to be expelled.

摘要： An externally serrated rotary shredder and submersible shredder pump having an externally serrated rotary shredder. These are for reducing the size of solids within a liquid which is to be pumped by shredding. An improvement over prior designs employs a cutting assembly and a shredder pump. The cutting assembly has a centrally positioned stationary dual sided plate cutter which engages first and second rotary cutters on alternate sides of a centrally positioned dual sided plate cutter. The first rotary cutter has cutting lobes having upper and lower cutting surfaces. The waste water contents have a finer grind which improves removal and reduces the likelihood of shredder pump clogging. The cutter assembly is configured for mounting to an intake opening of a stationary volute associated with a shredder pump. Many more cutting surfaces are provided which more quickly shred the solid materials within the liquid to be expelled.

It has a cylindrical sleeve with an outer wall, and a hollow core defining an inner wall extending from a top to a bottom of the cylindrical sleeve. The cylindrical sleeve comprises a first compressively resilient material and has separated, parallel grooves through the outer wall around its circumference. A cylindrical outer tube is attached around the outer wall of the cylindrical sleeve from the top to the bottom. The outer tube has a smooth outer wall and an inner wall having separated parallel projections extending outwardly around the inner wall of the outer tube. The projections are attached to and mate with the grooves through the outer wall around the cylindrical sleeve. The cylindrical outer tube and the projections comprise a second different compressively resilient material.

Grooves through the outer wall are around a circumference of the cylindrical sleeve. T-shaped grooves through the outer wall extend longitudinally from the top to the bottom of the cylindrical sleeve. Each T-shape groove has a ledge partially overlapping from the top to the bottom of the cylindrical sleeve at opposite sides of. Said T-shape grooves and the ledges extend from the top to the bottom of the cylindrical sleeve.
