摘要： A cutter assembly and high volume submersible shredder pump. These are for reducing the size of solids within a liquid which is to be pumped by chopping, grinding, shredding or cutting. An improvement over prior designs employs a cutting assembly having a rotary cutter and a cup-shaped, concave, plate cutter having a circular horizontal cross-section. The plate cutter is adapted for mounting to an intake opening of a stationary volute, associated with a shredder pump. The cutting assembly has cutting lobes having a grooved surface which mate with corresponding grooves of the shaped, concave, plate cutter. As a result, many more cutting surfaces are provided which more effectively and quickly shred the solid materials within the liquid to be expelled.

The mechanical seal has stationary components and rotatable components. The stationary components comprise a stationary seal element having a stationary seal surface and the rotatable components comprise a rotatable seal element having a rotatable seal surface. The stationary and rotatable seal surfaces have substantially equal and oblique, preferably, acute, angles to the shaft axis. The seal surfaces oppose each other and are forced together to form a seal. The seal can be secured in place by improved connector clips.

摘要： A coupling for attaching a pair of longitudinally aligned rotatable shafts. It has a pair of circular hubs having a bore through a central axis. A shaft is fixed within each bore. A circular power ring is positioned between the hubs. Either the hubs or the power ring have circular apertures through and spaced around each hub and a hollow bushing positioned in each circular aperture. The other of the hubs or the power ring has mating coupling pins extending outwardly mounted within a corresponding one of the hollow bushings. Preferably an end of the coupling pins mating with the bushings have a generally truncated spherical, bulbous configuration with an outside diameter about 5% to about 25% greater than an outside diameter of its opposite end. Preferably elastically deformable, solid cylindrical spacers are attached to, and projecting between each circular hub and the circular power ring.

摘要： The invention relates to a coupling for joining rotatable shafts including a pair of mating hubs having projecting pins, which hubs are held together via a free-floating wrap around restraint. The coupling has first and second circular hubs, wherein each circular hub has and a tool for fixing a shaft within each bore. Several coupling pins extend outwardly from each hub such that the coupling pins of the hubs are facing and longitudinally aligned with each other to define mating pairs of coupling pins. The coupling has a flexible annular restraint having split ends and semi-cylindrical concavities through the restraint. The restraint is wrapped around the mating pairs of coupling pins such that the split ends align and one mating pair of coupling pins are positioned within each of the semi-cylindrical concavities. A cincture is then fastened around the outer surface of the restraint.

A cylindrical outer tube is attached around the outer wall of the cylindrical sleeve from the top to the bottom. The outer tube has a smooth outer wall and an inner wall having separated parallel projections extending outwardly around the inner wall of the outer tube. The projections are attached to and mate with the grooves through the outer wall around the cylindrical sleeve. The cylindrical outer tube and the projections comprise a second different compressively resilient material.

Each T-shape groove has a ledge partially overlapping from the top to the bottom of the cylindrical sleeve at opposite sides of. Said T-shape grooves and the ledges extend from the top to the bottom of the cylindrical sleeve.
