    • The invention concerns an arrangement of service positions for maintenance apparatus, which can travel on a guide rail along a multiplicity of similar workstations on a first side of a textile machine, wherein a maintenance apparatus in a first service position at the elevation of a machine framing of the textile machine can be pivoted away from, or transversely withdrawn from the guide rail. Per side of the textile machine, at least two maintenance apparatuses are exclusively assigned thereto, whereby the guide rail on the first side, at least at one end of the textile machine, is elongated beyond the textile machine and a second service position is placed on the elongated guide rail. In this way, it becomes possible, with a large number of workstations to assure the shortest possible duration of a standstill, wherein in the case of a failure or preventive unkeep of one maintenance apparatus, another maintenance apparatus can serve a workstation in a short time.

The yarn suction pipe is mounted on a swivel pin that is in turn mounted on an additional swivel pin.

    • The present invention relates to a process and device for the connection of a negative pressure channel provided with openings installed on a textile machine with a plurality of work stations. A service unit traveling alongside the textile machine is provided with a negative pressure line. The negative pressure channel has openings which are closed off by swiveling flaps. When the service unit is brought to a stop at one of the work stations, the flap associated with the work station is swivelled by means of an apparatus installed in the service unit and the negative pressure line is connected to the opening of the negative pressure channel. Before the service unit leaves the work station, the connection between the negative pressure channel and the negative pressure line is broken and the flap is necessarily swivelled by the apparatus so as to be in front of the opening in order to close the opening. The service unit has an apparatus capable of being moved in the direction of the closing surface of the flap in order to necessarily swivel said flap. The apparatus necessarily opens the flap as it moves in the direction of the closing surface and the flap is necessarily closed off again as the apparatus moves back into its starting position. The apparatus is provided with a movable line segment to connect the negative pressure line of the service unit to the negative pressure channel.

    • A method interrupts yarn production on a spinning machine having at least one spinning point having an inlet for a fiber material and an outlet for the yarn made from the fiber material, and wherein the spinning machine comprises a delivery device for feeding the fiber material into the spinning point, a take-off device for drawing off the yarn out of the spinning point, a winding device for winding up the produced yarn, and a yarn monitoring unit for monitoring at least one yarn parameter. Yarn production is interrupted upon detecting a defined deviation of the monitored yarn parameter from a target value, upon changing bobbins at the winding device, and/or prior to switching off the spinning machine. The feed speeds of the delivery device, the take-off device, and the winding device are gradually reduced to a stop in order to interrupt the yarn production, wherein the reducing takes place such that the end of the produced yarn is located between the outlet of the spinning point and the winding device after the reducing is completed.
