摘要： A system for the post-treatment of preforms (9) produced by means of injection moulding, including a removal element (4) having at least one receiving element (5) for receiving a preform (9), and a device for moving the removal element (4) between two tool halves of an opened injection moulding mould and for moving the removal element (4) out of the opened injection moulding mould, a post-treatment element (6) having at least one post-treatment pin (7) having a pin-shaped passage element (7), of which one end can be connected to the environment or a vacuum or reduced-pressure source and of which the other end has an outlet (18) for a coolant, and a motion device with which the removal element (4) can be reciprocated relative to the post-treatment element (6) between a first position in which the post-treatment pin (7) is positioned within the receiving element (5) and a second position in which the post-treatment pin (7) is not positioned within the receiving element (5), wherein the removal element (4) and the post-treatment element (6) are so designed that in the first position coolant can be introduced by way of the coolant inlet into a preform held in the receiving element (5) in such a way that it can flow between the inside wall of the preform (9) and the outside wall of the pin-shaped passage element (7) to the coolant outlet (18) and can be discharged by way of the passage element (7).

摘要： A bottom insert for a mold cavity for the production of moldings of plastic material. The mold cavity has a main body with a hot side which has a recess for receiving molten plastic material under pressure and a cold side having a recess, the inside contour of which is intended to come into contact with the molding to be produced and to shape the outside contour thereof. A gate (17) is provided that connects the recess of the hot side to the recess of the cold side and is intended to introduce molten plastic material from the hot side into the cold side. In accordance with the invention there is provided a device for thermal insulation within the bottom insert between the hot side and the cold side of the bottom insert to permit more rapid cooling of the cold side by restricting heat flow from the hot side.

摘要： A cooling tube assembly for operating on a malleable molded plastic part. The cooling tube assembly comprising a porous tube/insert having a profiled inner conditioning surface, and a vacuum structure configured to cooperate with the porous tube. In use, the vacuum develops a reduced pressure adjacent the inner conditioning surface to cause an outer surface of the malleable molded plastic part, locatable within the cooling tube assembly, to contact the inner conditioning surface of the porous insert so as to allow a substantial portion of the outer surface of the malleable part, upon cooling, to attain a profile substantially corresponding to the profile of the inner conditioning surface. The cooling tube assembly having a porous insert The conditioning body having a porous member that includes an inner porous portion formed from a thermally conductive first porous material that is at least partially enclosed by an outer porous portion formed from a thermally conductive second porous material preferably having a higher porosity than the first porous material. The outer porous portion is configured for providing a fluid communication pathway between the pressure structure and the inner porous portion that supports a fast and homogenous pressure response.

摘要： Platen-mounted, post-mold cooling apparatus and method includes structure and/or steps for handling molded parts in an injection molding machine having a fixed platen, a moving platen, a core half, and a cavity half. A take off device coupled to the fixed platen is configured to remove molded parts from either the core half or the cavity half. A cooling device coupled to the moving platen is configured to cool the molded parts carried by the take off device. Preferably, the take off device extracts the just molded parts from the mold's core half and then moves linearly outboard of the mold halves. The subsequent movement of the moving platen to close the mold in the next molding cycle causes the cooling device's pins to engage the molded parts in the take off device part carriers. When the moving platen opens again, the molded parts are extracted from the part carriers by external gripping devices. When the moving platen is fully open, the cooling device is rotated to eject the cooled parts from the machine.

摘要： Post mold cooling apparatus and method having transverse movement preferably includes structure and/or steps for cooling a plurality of plastic articles molded on a row of mold cores. A post mold cooling device is provided having (i) a first row of cooling tubes configured to hold a first plurality of the molded plastic articles, and (ii) a second row of cooling tubes configured to hold a second plurality of the molded plastic articles. A cooling station is disposed adjacent the cooling device and is configured to provide a cooling fluid to an interior of both the first and second pluralities of molded articles inside the respective first and second rows of cooling tubes. Movement structure is configured to (i) provide a rotational movement to cause the first and second pluralities of molded articles inside the respective first and second rows of cooling tubes to be presented to the cooling station, and (ii) provide a transverse, axial movement to alternately cause the first row of cooling tubes and then the second row of cooling tubes to be presented to the row of mold cores.
