    • A conveyor advances a web horizontally parallel to rows of upwardly open pockets formed in the web underneath a loader having a plurality of object-filled passages each having a downwardly open mouth open immediately above a respective one of the rows of pockets. As the sheet is advanced underneath the loader the objects drop out of the mouths into the pockets. Respective arms are pivotal on the loader downstream of the mouths at each of the rows about a horizontal transverse axis and have upwardly deflectable lower ends normally positioned immediately above the sheet. These lower arm ends are horizontally engageable with any of the objects projecting upwardly out of the respective pocket so that, as the sheet is advanced, the arm lower ends horizontally strikes any upwardly projecting objects and then pivots up while sliding the projecting object up out of the respective pocket.

    • A grounded burner, actuators adjusting the supply of fuel and air to the burner, an ionization electrode in the flame region, a flame amplifier at the ionization electrode generating an ionization signal, and a final control device are included in a burner system. During air ratio control mode, the final control device sets a first actuator and adjusts a second actuator. During voltage control mode a voltage regulator controls the AC voltage source using the AC voltage measured by the voltmeter, in conjunction with an ionization current amplifier. The voltmeter is connected in parallel with a sequence of the ionization electrode, the flame region, the burner and the input of the ionization current amplifier. The voltage regulator is connected to the voltmeter such that, during voltage control mode, the time-averaged current caused by the voltmeter through the connection is less than 5% of the time-averaged current through the ionization electrode.

    • In a method and a device for vehicle brake actuation, braking can be actuated as a function of a driver's default value, which can be set by the driver of the vehicle. The default value can be set, in such a way that a braking force dependent on the driver's default value is generated. The braking force actually generated is modified independently of the driver in order to execute an automatic braking sequence when a predefined triggering condition is fulfilled. A limit value for the braking force is determined as a function of the driver's default value, and braking during execution of the automatic braking sequence is actuated independently of the driver in such a way that the modified braking force generated does not quantitatively exceed the limit value determined.
