    • A coating device for coating a coating solution on a web has a roller and a weir which partially constructs a solution store space. In the solution store space the coating solution is stored. When the web sequentially moves in a direction, the roller rotates and the solution in the solution store space is supplied on the web. Thereby a part of the solution overflows the weir such that another part of the solution may remain on the web to have a constant width in a widthwise direction of the web. A drying device has plural drying zones in which the web is fed after the coating of the coating solution. One of the drying zones is neighbored to the coating device. A top of the plural drying zones is constructed of a blow regulation member so as to confront to the solution on the web. The blow regulation member has holes through which is exhausted a gas evaporated from the layer of the solution on the web.

    • Knurling is applied to both side edge portions of a high-molecular film and then the film is wound up. A packing agent is applied to the knurled portions to enclose air at the time of winding in spaces between wound film layers and the film is put into an annealing isothermal chamber while contact between the wound film layers is prevented by the air. Preferably, the high-molecular film is made to pass through a heating zone just before the winding so that the high-molecular film after heated is wound up. More preferably, the winding core used for winding is a hollow porous winding core and high-temperature pressurized air is blown out onto the film through the hollow porous cylindrical surface. In a method of performing heat treatment on a wound roll film in which annealing treatment is performed on a roll film obtained by winding a high-molecular film, comprising the steps of: enclosing a winding portion of a device in a box; keeping the inside of the box at a high temperature equal to that of an annealing chamber; heating the high-molecular film to a temperature equal to the temperature of the inside of the box just before winding and then winding the high-molecular film; and conveying the high-molecular film into an isothermal chamber for annealing treatment.

    • The present invention provides a web butt-joining apparatus, comprising: a turret device that supports an old roll and a new roll on which band-shaped flexible base materials are wound to be capable of being unwound, and is rotatable at every predetermined angle; a cutting drum including a cutting member and a holding device; a cutting and joining drum which includes a cutting receiving member, and a holding device which is capable of rotating at the same speed as conveyance speed of the band-shaped flexible base material at a time of joining the band-shaped flexible base material; and a joining drum which is capable of rotating at the same speed as the conveyance speed of the band-shaped flexible base material at a time of joining the band-shaped flexible base materials, wherein while conveying the band-shaped flexible base material, the web butt-joining apparatus performs cutting and butt-joining of the tail end of the band-shaped flexible base material of the old roll and the tip end of the band-shaped flexible base material of the new roll.
