摘要： A dunnage conversion system includes a machine for converting a stock material into a strip of relatively lower-density dunnage, a coiling mechanism for winding the strip into a coil, a taping mechanism for automatically securing a trailing end of the strip to the coil, and a coil ejecting mechanism for automatically removing the coil from the coiling mechanism. The taping mechanism includes a guide surface between an outlet of the machine and the coiling mechanism to guide the strip to the coiling mechanism and to guide tape for engagement with a trailing end of the strip and to secure the trailing end of the strip to the coil. The coil ejecting mechanism includes a lever arm that pivots to push the completed coil off the coiling mechanism.

摘要： A reusable, one-piece, rubberized tape protector cover for a roll of tape that fits snugly onto the roll to protect its edges from coming into contact with dirt or moisture that might be on the floor. The device has a spindle of varying widths to accommodate different thicknesses of tape and two parallel side walls that extend outward from the spindle in wheel-like fashion. The device is installed on a roll of tape by compressing one of the two side walls and then pushing the compressed side wall through the hollow center of the roll of tape before releasing it. When released, the side wall resumes its former shape. In this installed position, the spindle is located within the hollow part of the roll of tape and the two parallel side walls extend on either side of the roll of tape and hug the side edges of the tape.

The diameter of the dispensing roll is detected by a sensing element which pushes against the circumferential surface of the dispensing roll, is displaced by the dropping reserve roll and returns to its sensing position once the reserve roll has dropped.

This makes each of the arms stoppable at a desired position in the direction parallel to the rotating shaft.

摘要： A powered dispenser for dispensing individual sheet segments from a continuous roll of sheet material provided with spaced tear lines comprises a powered feed mechanism, a releasable, powered drive mechanism, a powered transfer mechanism, a pair of web sensing sensors, a capacitive sensing system providing automatic sensitivity adjustment, and control circuitry. A dual power supply system provides a mechanical lock-out functionality, and the control system is protected from electrostatic build-up on the surface of the feed roller. The web sensor, and an antenna plate of the capacitive sensing system, are provided on respective printed circuit boards mounted in overlying relation. Utilizing signals received from the pair of web sensors and the capacitive sensing system, the control circuitry senses the presence of a user to activate the powered drive mechanism, and prevents further dispensing of the sheet material until a previously dispensed segment is separated from the roll. The web sensors detection of a leading edge of the sheet material initiates a predetermined interval of sheet material advancement providing a proper placement of successive tear lines. Various approaches may be utilized to accommodate inadvertent sheet “tabbing” scenarios. The web sensors, together with the control circuitry, are also used to detect the depletion, or absence, of a working roll of sheet material, whereupon the control circuitry controls the powered transfer mechanism to automatically transfer the web feed supply from a depleted working roll to a reserve roll. The powered transfer mechanism may include a motor driven transfer bar, or provide motor driven release of a spring biased transfer bar. Another arrangement allows for ready release of a roll core, and drop of the same into an open dispenser cover for removal.
