    • A charging control circuit having a controller including a microcomputer, a charging circuit, detectors for detecting the voltages between the terminals of batteries, and memories for storing charge control data. The controller determines that quick charging is completed when the voltage between the terminals of each battery drops from a peak value to an extent corresponding to a predetermined value stored in the memory, and then terminates the charging operation. During a predetermined period of insensible time immediately after the start of charging stored in the memory, the controller does not detect the voltage to determine whether or not each battery is fully charged, thereby preventing an error in determining a fully charged state of the battery. If a full charge of each battery is not detected while quick charging is continued for a certain period of time stored in the memory, the controller forcibly terminates the quickly charging operation. Desired data is selected from the control data stored in the memories in response to an external signal, and the charge control is optimized according to the number of batteries and other factors.

    • A battery charger and a charge controller therefor are disclosed, the battery charger including a supply circuit for supplying a charging current to a battery and a control circuit for controlling the supply of the charging current to the battery. The control circuit shuts the charging current when the detected voltage of the battery is smaller than the maximum peak value by a predetermined quantity. A control means shuts the charging current after a predetermined time has elapsed from a time at which the detected voltage of the battery has raised to the maximum peak value. The control means reduces the charging current when the detected voltage of the battery is made to be a switching voltage. Furthermore, the control means shuts the charging current after a predetermined time has elapsed after the charging current had been reduced.

    • A light source for an endoscope is disclosed for illuminating a subject, the image from the subject being received through a leading end of the endoscope, and being projected by an objective lens onto a solid state imaging device. Light from a light source lamp is projected onto the subject sequentially with the light transmitted through three color transmitting filters. A reflector is provided to reflect light from the light source lamp in a parallel light beam. A convex lens system for converging the parallel light from the reflector. Light from said source lamp is transmitted through a light guide to the subject. A first and second lens systems are positioned between the input end of the light guide and the convex lens system for converging the light onto the input end of the light guide. The light guide is disposed within an insert member of said endoscope. The lens systems reduce the sectional area of the light beam and restrict the included angle of the light beam. A rotary color filter is provided in said light beam and includes interference filters having high heat resistance for passing light of only a specific wavelength, to provide different colors of illuminating light to the subject.

    • A container position measuring method using a microwave sensor 31 which emits microwave 35 and receives reflected wave of the microwave 35, wherein a position of a corner portion of a transportation container is measured by reflected wave from the corner portion. The microwave 35 is not influenced by weather and color of a transportation container 18. Therefore it is possible to reliably measure position data of the transportation container. The microwave 35 does not easily receive the influence of weather and color of the transportation container. The present invention provides a position measuring method capable of stably measure position data of the transportation container.
