摘要： Reflective articles and related methods of manufacture are provided. These articles include a metallic layer extending across a non-tacky base layer. The base layer includes either a block copolymer or random copolymer with at least two polymeric components, one of which has a glass transition temperature of at least 50 degrees Celsius and the other of which has a glass transition temperature no greater than 20 degrees Celsius. These articles provide excellent optical clarity, non-corrosiveness, ultraviolet light stability, and resistance to outdoor weathering conditions compared to conventional reflective films.

摘要： An article that is suitable for use as a solar concentrating mirror for enhancing the use of solar collection devices, such as solar cells. The article includes a multilayer optical film and a compliant UV protective layer. The article addresses degradation issues in solar concentration devices, provides specific bandwidths of electromagnetic energy to the solar cell while eliminating or reducing undesirable bandwidths of electromagnetic energy that may degrade or adversely affect the solar cell, and renders a compliant sheet of material that may be readily formed into a multitude of shapes or constructions for end use applications. A solar collection device comprising the article and optionally comprising a celestial tracking mechanism is also disclosed.

The adhering layer is used to contact the edge of an article and comprises: a substrate layer; optionally, a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer situated at both sides of the substrate layer oppositely, wherein the first adhesive layer being used to be contact with the article. The aging-resistant protective layer is situated on the adhering layer, which comprises: an optional primer layer, which is situated on the adhering layer; and a film layer, which is situated on either the primer layer or the substrate or the second adhesive layer. The present disclosure further provides an adhesive tape for sealing an edge of an article and an article made of the assembly.

摘要： A biological soil detector is provided, having: a solid support member; a specific indicator immobilized on the solid support member; and a retaining member which holds the solid support, the retaining member and solid support are configured so that the solid support will readily contact a surface being tested for the presence of biological soil. A method for the use of the detector is also provided, the method including the following steps: contacting the biological soil detector with a surface; withdrawing the biological soil detector from the surface; and inspecting the solid support member of the detector to determine whether the specific indicator immobilized has interacted with biological soil. In still another aspect, the invention provides biological soil detector and a method for using the detector in which the detector includes: a solid support member that has been treated with at least one amine or quaternary functional coating; and a specific indicator immobilized on the coating.
