    • Particular embodiments described herein provide for an electronic device, such as a notebook computer, laptop, or tablet that includes a circuit board coupled to a plurality of electronic components (which may include any type of components, elements, circuitry, etc.). One particular example implementation of a docking base comprises a base housing including at least one alignment pin disposed within the base housing. Each of the at least one alignment pin is configured to engage a corresponding alignment pin receptacle of a device housing of an electronic device. The base housing further includes an attachment mechanism coupled to the at least one first alignment pin, wherein the attachment mechanism is configured to cause the at least one first alignment pin to extend at least partially from the base housing when the device housing is within a predetermined proximity of the base housing.

    • According to some embodiments, a test fluid may be provided into a chamber associated with a cooling system for an electronic integrated circuit. Moreover, a valve may be partially inserted into an opening of the chamber to seal the chamber. The valve may include a first sealing portion to seal the chamber at the opening when the valve shaft is inserted the first distance. The valve may then be inserted an intermediate distance, between the first distance and a second distance, to unseal the chamber. Note that the valve may include a second sealing portion, offset from the first sealing portion, to seal the chamber at the opening when the valve is inserted the second distance. The valve may further define a passage, between the first and second sealing portions, to permit a flow of the test fluid when the valve is inserted the intermediate distance.

    • According to some embodiments, systems for improved passive liquid cooling may be provided. In some embodiments, a system may comprise an evaporator and a condenser. According to some embodiments, the evaporator may comprise a first side to receive heat, a second side, and one or more fins protruding from the second side. In some embodiments, the condenser may comprise an inner surface defining a cavity and one or more grooves, a first end coupled to the evaporator such that the one or more fins of the evaporator are disposed within the cavity, and a second end, wherein the one or more grooves extend at least partially between the first and second ends of the condenser.

    • A fastener assembly including a base consisting of a pair of motherboard snaps on a first end and a hollow shaft on a second end, the motherboard snaps to be inserted through an aperture of a motherboard. The hollow shaft is inserted through an aperture of a heat sink clip. The base further includes a pair of grooves on an exterior of the shaft. The assembly further including a cap consisting of a hollow interior, an integrated post attached to a base of the interior, and a pair of cantilever snaps. The cap is fitted over the exterior surface of the hollow shaft of the base to secure the clip between the base and the cap. The integrated post of the cap to be inserted into the hollow shaft of the base to deflect the motherboard snaps outward on an opposite side of the motherboard aperture to secure the assembly with the motherboard. The cantilever snaps to be positioned in the grooves of the shaft of the base to secure the cap with the base.
