摘要： Flux management systems and methods are provided for filtering vaporized flux from the gas of a reflow soldering oven. A flux management system includes a cooling chamber having a cooling medium through which the gas passes. The vaporized flux condenses on the surfaces of the cooling chamber and drips into a collection pan, thereby preventing it from dripping onto circuit boards passing through the oven. The flux management system may further include a self-cleaning feature that includes a compressed gas, which is allowed to enter the cooling chamber through a solenoid valve. The compressed gas may then be directed through a heater, which increases the temperature of the cooling chamber, thereby causing a decrease in viscosity of the flux, which allows it to flow freely into a drain tube. The flux may then be transported by gravity into a collection container.

The shift from direct to indirect coupling involves shifting the coupling sleeve out of direct coupling position between the input and output members to a different position in which the input member is coupled to one portion of the planetary gear set and the output member is coupled to another portion of the planetary gear set. A hydraulically actuated piston drives the coupling sleeve through a resiliently loaded lost motion isolator which applies a first force to the coupling sleeve for disengagement, and also applies a second force to the coupling sleeve to produce meshing engagement with the input member or with the planetary gear set element.

摘要： A vortex-shedding flow-sensing instrument comprising a flat-faced vortex-generating plate integral with a downstream sensor-bar having flat sides set back laterally with respect to the rows of vortices shed from the edges of the vortex-generating plate. The side surfaces of the plate are tapered inwardly at a moderate angle, and extend down a short distance to rear surfaces at right angles with respect to the direction of fluid flow. The downstream end of the sensor bar comprises a tail piece the side surfaces of which are tapered inwardly at a moderate angle, and extend downstream a short distance to a rear surface perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow.The sensor bar carries on oil-filled capsule having as side walls a pair of flexible diaphragms effectively in the plane of the sensor-bar side surfaces. These diaphragms transmit alternating vortex pressure pulses interiorly of the capsule to a sensing element in the form of a ceramic disc having piezo-electric properties. The resulting alternating voltage signal developed by this element is coupled through lead wires to an amplifier arranged to produce a flow signal suitable for transmission over relatively long distances.

摘要： A walk-through fly trap for cattle and similar livestock is provided with a steel tubular frame on which is provided a roof and sides of pressure treated lumber. The sides support panels bearing electric grates, which grates are accessible to flying insects on both the inside and outside of the trap. Insects are attracted to the grates by lights mounted proximal to the grates on the panel, the warmth associated therewith, and attractive colors of the panel. The grates may be electrified with sufficient voltage to explode flying insects on contact, so as to prevent accumulation of insects thereon.

摘要： A gauge block assembly for use in conjunction with the refilling of high pressure gaseous oxygen cylinders. The gauge block is used in an oxygen transfill header or manifold and includes a gas transfer control unit that allows rapid evacuation of the spent oxygen cylinder but that prevents rapid refilling of the oxygen cylinder with fresh oxygen. The gas transfer control unit includes a valve assembly having a restricted orifice therethrough. During the evacuation process, the check valve opens, bypassing the restricted orifice, to allow rapid evacuation of the oxygen cylinder at a first rate of flow. During the refilling process, the check valve closes. The incoming oxygen must flow through the restricted orifice at a second rate of flow less than the first rate of flow thereby regulating the flow of oxygen.
