摘要： The present disclosure is of a jet pump system, and reverse power generation system and other desirable applications consisting of an impeller with inlet vortex vanes and outlet vortex vanes. The inlet vortex vane induces rotational movement on mass entering the impeller inlet. The outlet vortex vanes remove swirl from mass exiting the impeller outlet. Embodiments include a jet pump system involving a pulley and belt which can allow for obstruction free movement of mass. In another embodiment the impeller is connected via an electromagnetic connection. In another embodiment the impeller acts as a rim-driven generator of electrical power. In another embodiment the drive pulley is a centrifugal clutch or uses a chain sprocket or tandem jet system in series.

摘要： An apparatus includes a substantially vertical elongated mast and a substantially horizontal elongated boom which is supported by the mast proximate an upper end thereof. The boom can pivot independently about a substantially vertical first axis and a substantially horizontal second axis. The boom has a first end proximate the mast and a distal opposite second end. A gripping element, for gripping by a user of the apparatus while the user is supported thereby, depends from the boom proximate the second end thereof. An elastic biasing member operatively attached to the mast and the boom provides a biasing force to bias the boom toward a rest position and against downward movement of the second end of the mast. The biasing member allows a temporary downward movement of the second end of the boom due to sudden application of weight of a user's body when the user grasps the gripping element.

摘要： Methods and compositions are provided for determining whether target, e.g., an endogenous or novel (non-endogenous), nucleic acid sequence of a neuronal cell is involved in sensory function. In practicing the subject methods, a neuronal cell selective vector including a modulating domain for a neuronal cell nucleic acid sequence, optionally having a domain encoding a directly detectable product, is administered to an animal. Sensory function in harvested neuronal cells is then evaluated to determine whether the target nucleic acid sequence is involved in sensory function. Also provided are compositions, kits, and systems for practicing the subject methods.

摘要： A clean air cabinet includes a blower chamber and a sample chamber separated by a filter. A blower within the blower chamber forces air through the filter into the sample chamber. A perforated wall between the sample chamber and the filter provides a pressurized zone between the wall and the filter. An exhaust plenum connects the pressurized zone with an exterior of the cabinet. A cap is provided to close off the plenum when the blower is not operating.
