摘要： According to this invention, by introducing genes encoding hexulose-6-phosphate synthase and 6-phosphohexulose isomerase into a plant to have the genes expressed in the chloroplast of the plant, a transgenic plant having a pathway to assimilate formaldehyde through the Calvin cycle is provided. The transgenic plant according to this invention has resistance to formaldehyde and is capable of reducing the level of environmental formaldehyde significantly. Therefore, it is assumed that the transgenic plant according to this invention can be used to purify environmental condition, by placing it in a residence or in an office.

The sheets drawn from the sheet rolls contact the sheet guide portions and the centers of each sheet roll are disposed at positions apart from leadlines of the sheets which connect the peripheries of the pinching roller in the slide contact portions of the sheet guides.

摘要： Hexulose phosphate synthase was purified from Mycobacterium gastri to determine an amino acid sequence of the enzyme. Oligonucleotide primers to be used for PCR were synthesized on the basis of obtained amino acid sequence information. A DNA fragment, which was amplified by performing PCR by using a template of genomic DNA prepared from Mycobacterium gastri, was used as a probe so that colony hybridization was carried out with respect to a library comprising fragments obtained by digesting Mycobacterium gastri genomic DNA with PstI to obtain a positive clone. Thus, the DNA fragment which contains ORF encoding hexulose phosphate synthase was obtained. Furthermore, the DNA fragment cloned contained other ORF(ORF-1). The expression system of ORF-1 was constructed (pT-HPIS-1), and it was introduced into Escherichia coli cell. After the induction of the expression of ORF-1, the hexulose phosphate isomerase activity was found in the extract of cells harvoring pT-HPIS-1. Thus, gene, which coded for hexulose phosphate isomerase, was obtained together with ORF which coded for hexulose phosphate synthase.

摘要： A method for producing phytase using a Candida boidinii transformant, by which phytase is secreted to liquid medium without substantially increasing the number of the transformant cells is disclosed. In this method, cells of a Candida boidinii transformant which is transformed with a recombinant vector comprising a promoter inducible with methanol and a gene located downstream of said promoter and operably linked to said promoter, which gene encodes a polypeptide having phytase activity, are cultured in a liquid culture medium containing phosphoric acid or a phosphate compound in an amount effective of restricting proliferation of said cells of Candida boidinii transformant such that the amount of said cells of Candida boidinii transformant is not substantially increased, while adding methanol to the culture medium, so as to make said cells secrete said phytase.
