摘要： An image signal processing apparatus includes a hard disk. The hard disk is as necessary created with a directory to which time information according to a time counter is assigned. An image file is stored in a latest directory having the latest creation time among a plurality of directories thus created. When a time indicated by the time counter is modified retroactive to the past, a marker is added to a directory having the time information according to the time counter before being modified. The latest directory is detected on the basis of the marker and the time information.

摘要： A digital camera includes a memory card. The memory card is previously recorded with template image data that has been subjected to conversion of Y-data effective range and JPEG compressing. A CPU expands this template image data by a JPEG method, and then subjects only expanded data greater than a predetermined value to effective-range conversion that is reverse to the above. The CPU composites the template image data thus obtained with photographed image data, thereby creating composite image data.

摘要： Image pick-up device reads image pick-up signals of all the pixels of CCD only when a light intercepting plate is moved from the light non-intercepting position to the light intercepting position for the first time after a battery replacement. By comparing the image pick-up signal from each pixel with a first threshold value, a possibly defective pixels are extracted. Thereafter, by reading the image pick-up signals for a prescribed number of times from CCD, accumulated value of the image pick-up signals of each of the possibly defective pixels is calculated. Based on the result of comparison between the accumulated value corresponding to each of the possibly defective pixels and second threshold value, an actually defective pixel is specified from the possibly defective pixels.

摘要： A digital camera including a memory card for storing a composite image data. When an operator selects template image data and photographed image data recorded in a memory card, a CPU composites these image data with each other by using a DRAM. The CPU then compares a data amount of composite image data with a vacant capacity of the memory card. If the data amount is less than the vacant capacity, the composite image data is recorded into the memory card. Meanwhile, when the data amount is greater than the vacant capacity, the CPU displays a predetermined alarm message on an LCD. Here, if the operator attaches another memory card, the CPU again compares the data amount of the composite image data with a vacant capacity of a memory card newly attached. If the vacant capacity is sufficient, the composite image data is recorded to the same memory card.

The system controller receives an output from the battery voltage detector circuit, determines whether the amount of electric charge remaining in the battery is below a predetermined value, and controls displaying on the monitor and charging of the capacitor not to be simultaneously performed when the amount of electric charge remaining in the battery is below the predetermined value.

摘要： When an electronic still camera in which a value of a voltage from a battery 2 is compared with reference values in a heavily loaded condition, i.e. with an LCD monitor 21 operated, to detect the current amount of charge remaining in the battery and a battery voltage obtained that is lower than a reference value R3 forces the body of the camera to be powered off, is again powered on without changing the battery, the battery is immediately placed in a lightly loaded condition, since LCD monitor 21 is in a non-operating state. Thus, battery voltage increases and thus exceeds the reference value and this disadvantageously results in a result different from that of detection of the amount of charge remaining in the battery that is obtained before the camera is powered off.
