    • A color electrophotographic image forming apparatus, in which a plurality of cartridges each including an electrophotographic photosensitive drum are detachably mountable to a main assembly of the apparatus, includes an exposure device for forming an electrostatic latent image on the drum; a cartridge supporting member capable of demountably supporting the cartridges and movable between an inside position and an outside position; a driving device for driving the drum; an intermediary transfer belt onto which an image provided by developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the drum is transferred; and a controller for controlling execution of image formation in response to print jobs received by the apparatus. The controller causes the exposure device to expose the drum to light after completion of a last print job, and the controller stops drive of the drum by the driving device in a state that the exposed area is opposed to the intermediary transfer belt.

    • The present invention provides a reticle defect inspection method and a reticle defect inspection apparatus capable of calibrating the offset and gain of a sensor amplifier using a product reticle even though black and white regions each sufficiently wider than a TDI sensor imaging area do not exist in the product reticle. An output of each pixel of the TDI sensor is amplified by the sensor amplifier. A bottom value of the amplified amount-of-light signal of each pixel is stored by bottom value storing means of offset/gain calibrating means, and a peak value thereof is stored by peak value storing means. The offset of each pixel is calculated by offset calculating means based on the bottom value of each pixel. The gain of each pixel is calculated by gain calculating means based on the offset of each pixel and the peak value of each pixel. The calculated offset and gain of each pixel are stored in a register and thereby the offset and gain of the sensor amplifier are calibrated.

    • An electronic device of the present invention includes a casing with an opening, and a cover member for covering the opening. The cover member includes: a cover part for covering the opening; a shank projecting from a rear surface of the cover part; and a protrusion sticking out of the shank. The cover member is capable of moving back and forth along the axis of the shank, between a depressed position where the cover part covers the opening and a pulled-out position where the cover part is apart from the opening. The casing has a first receiving part for receiving the protrusion to prevent the pivotal movement of the cover member about the shank when the cover member moves back and forth between the depressed position and the pulled-out position, and receiving the protrusion to prevent the pressing-in of the cover member after having moved pivotally about the shank while enabling the pivotal movement of the cover member about the shank when the cover member is in the pulled-out position.

    • An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a recording material includes a cartridge, a main assembly including a positioner positioning the cartridge and an urger urging the cartridge to the positioner, a mover supporting the cartridge and movable between a pulled out position outside of the main assembly and an inside position inside the main assembly, and a gripper mounted to the mover and movable between a reference position and an outward position located outwardly with respect to the pull out direction of the mover. When the mover is at the inside position, the cartridge is positioned to the positioner by the urger to be placed in a positioning state when the gripper is at the reference position and the positioning state of the cartridge is released by moving the gripper from the reference position to the outward position.
