摘要： A device for inspecting a high loop of a wire bonded on, for instance, a lead frame including a frame carrying stand, which guides and supports a lead frame, and an inspection roller, which is installed directly above the frame carrying stand. The inspection roller has frame pressing parts made as an insulating part so as to press the side portions of the lead frame against the frame carrying stand 31; and the inspection roller further has a wire detection part made as conductive parts provided between the frame pressing ring. A step or height difference between the frame pressing parts and the wire detection part is formed so as to be equal to the upper-limit value of the maximum height of wire loops formed by the bonded wire, and high loops that exceed the upper-limit value are detected by way of an electric current that flows when the wire detection part contacts the bonded wire.

摘要： A device for detection of defects in a solid-state image sensor, comprising a timing generator for generating first and second read pulses to read out signal charges of first and second fields respectively from photo sensing elements disposed in the pixels of the image sensor; a controller for controlling the timing of generation of the first and second read pulses; and a defect detector supplied with the signal charges of the first and second fields stored in the image sensor and serving to detect any defective pixel by detecting the level of the signal charge in each pixel. During the defect detection period, the controller controls the timing generator in such a manner that the first read pulse is supplied to the image sensor after storage of the first-field signal charge for a time period of six fields, and also that storage of the second-field signal charge is started after a lapse of two fields from start of the storage of the first-field signal charge, and the second read pulse is supplied to the image sensor after storage of the second-field signal charge, whereby the defect detection can be performed in a time period of four fields.

摘要： A lead frame transporting device, which uses a pusher to feed a lead frame from a loader onto feeder rails and two optical sensors that are positioned above the both sides of the lead frame. The pusher feeds the lead frame a predetermined distance so that a first detecting point of the lead frame arrives under the sensors and then further feeds the lead frame so that a second detecting point of the lead frame arrives under the sensors. The sensors detects detecting holes of the lead frame at the first and second detecting points so that top or bottom and front or back of the lead frame is detected, so that improperly oriented lead frame is prevented from further being fed to a next step.

摘要： A probe is shifted at a distance where the probe and a material to be obsed are sufficiently far away from each other relative to the roughness of the material's surface. This method prevents the probe from colliding with the material's surface during the shift of the probe thereby enabling high speed shift of the probe. Further, a micro-drive mechanism for controlling tunnel currents may be stopped during the shift in order to minimize the drift which may be caused by heat generated inside the micro-drive mechanism. Therefore, it is particularly advantageous to apply this STM measuring method for high-speed and stable measurement of a very large surface area and a very rough surface.
