    • A method of controlling the operation of multistage centrifugal compressor equipment provided with inlet guide vanes and diffuser vanes at each stage to enable operation to be practiced at a low energy consumption level. The method includes the steps of determining whether the prevailing flow rate, for example, is in a range of flow rates near the desired flow rate or in a range of flow rates remote therefrom; and controlling a combination of the amount of operation of the guide vanes with the amount of operation of the diffuser vanes, which is set beforehand, when the prevailing flow rate is determined to be in the latter range to promptly bring the prevailing flow rate to the desired flow rate level, and effecting fine adjustments of the inlet guide vanes and diffuser vanes to control the angles thereof when the prevailing flow rate is determined to be in the former range, thereby enabling increased efficiency to be achieved in the operation of the compressor equipment.

    • The present invention provides a sample processing system for analyzing, preprocessing, or carrying out other operations for a biological sample such as blood or urea. With the sample processing system, it is possible to store samples to be stored in the thermally insulated state or specimens required for accuracy control in the thermally insulated state for preventing evaporation of denaturing of the samples and specimens by the unit of a transfer rack. Also it is possible to carry in or out the samples rack by rack according to the necessity.The sample processing system according to the present invention is realized by providing a buffer unit in a cold container having a capability for cold storage and also by accessing a sample rack at random for carrying in or out the rack with a transfer mechanism provided outside the cold container.

    • A sample dispensing apparatus dispenses a sample from a container accommodating a sample such as blood or urea sampled for checking. This sample dispensing apparatus can prevent internal contamination of the apparatus due to dripping of the sample and abnormal sucking operations caused by drainage, condensation and fixing of the sample. The sample dispensing apparatus according to the present invention comprises a dispensing device for dispensing a sucked sample, a dispensing head provided in the dispensing device, and a disposable nozzle chip dismountably set on the dispensing head. In this apparatus, dispensing of a sample to child sample containers is performed exchanging the child sample containers with new ones. When the state, in which dispensing to the child container cannot be carried out, is continued for a prespecified period of time, the nozzle chip is automatically released from the dispensing head.
