摘要： The viscosity of liquid organic systems is increased by adding thereto an organophilic clay gellant which is the reaction product of a smectite clay having a cation exchange capacity of at least 0.75 milliequivalents per gram and from 1.00 to less than 1.20 milliequivalents per gram of clay of a methyl benzyl dialkyl ammonium salt, wherein the two alkyl groups independently contain from 16 to 18 carbon atoms, and from 0% to 1% water in the absence of a polar organic dispersant for the gellant.

摘要： Apparatus for transporting and storing liquids such as chemicals and the like which does not require any handling of the chemicals at the site where such chemicals are used. A tank for containing the chemicals is supported on a longitudinal trailer frame which, in turn, is provided with wheels at one end and a gooseneck fifth wheel type connector at an opposite end. The fifth wheel is receivable within a recess in a flatbed of a prime mover and connectible to a mateable receiving element thereto for transport from one point where the chemicals are loaded into the tank to the plant or other location where the chemicals are to be used. Adjustable length support legs are provided on an end of the trailer opposite the wheels for supporting the storage tank in a horizontal plane when the fifth wheel is detached from the prime mover. A self-contained pumping system is provided on one end of the longitudinal frame for pumping liquid out of the tank. The pumping system may be driven by a gasoline engine or other power source.

It incorporates a swivel connected with a cable head assembly and a navigation system for determining the instantaneous angle of the tool with respect to a vertical reference. There are first and second spaced cages formed of sleeves supported on bearing assemblies. The sleeves support free wheeling rollers which engage the casing when the tool is in the slant hole region of the well. There is an eccentric which falls downwardly, i.e., pointing toward gravity, and thereby defines a vertical reference and hence a horizontal reference. This eccentric mounts an elongate tubular housing for the shaped charges. Initially, the angle of firing of the shaped charges is adjusted at the time of installation with respect to the horizon and that in turn is correlated to the formation of interest in the well borehole which is then perforated with perforations which are parallel to the formation bedding plane.
