摘要： Liquid and solid compositions are provided for souring and imparting softness to freshly laundered textile materials. When in the form of a stable homogeneous liquid, the composition may contain (a) a quaternized fatty amide, an aqueous emulsion of partially oxidized polyethylene, a fatty amphoteric compound, or a fatty amide as described hereinafter as the softening agent, (b) hydrofluorosilicic acid, ammonium silicofluoride, zinc silicofluoride, ammonium acid fluoride, potassium acid fluoride, or orthophosphoric acid as the souring agent, and (c) water. When in the form of a stable dry solid, the composition may contain (a) a quaternized fatty amide, a fatty amphoteric compound or a fatty amide as described hereinafter as the softening agent, and (b) ammonium silicofluoride, potassium silicofluoride, sodium silicofluoride, zinc silicofluoride, ammonium acid fluoride, sodium acid fluoride or potassium acid fluoride. A method of preparing the liquid composition is provided which insures that it remains stable and homogeneous while awaiting use. Stable homogeneous aqueous stock solutions are also prepared from the liquid or solid compositions of the invention.

When in the form of a stable dry solid, the composition may contain the aforementioned fatty amide as a softening agent, and a dry solid water soluble organic acid containing 2-20 carbon atoms and having a primary ionization constant between 10.sup.-1 and 10.sup.-5 as the souring agent. Stable homogeneous stock solutions are prepared from the novel liquid or solid compositions of the invention.

摘要： Natural and synthetic textile materials and blends thereof are disclosed containing at least one water-soluble, neutral alkanolamine, ammonium or mixed alkanolamine and ammonium salt of a phosphoric acid wherein said acid is selected from the group consisting of orthophosphoric acid and polyphosphoric acid. Polyester-cotton fabrics are rendered antistatic by treatment with these ionic bonded salts in the proportion of about 0.5 to about 10 percent by weight based on the weight of the textile fabric.

摘要： An acidic, stable, homogeneous, mobile liquid, biodegradable surfactant composition is provided which consists essentially of1. at least one liquid hydrophilic nonionic surfactant,2. at least one substantially salt free liquid biodegradable alkyl benzene sulfonic acid surfactant corresponding to the structural formula: ##SPC1##Wherein n is an integer having a numerical value of from 3 to 14,3. about 0.0001-1% by weight of hydrogen peroxide, and4. about 0-95% by weight of water. The surfactant composition contains a weight ratio of surfactant (1) to surfactant (2) from 1:5 to 5:1, and surfactant (1) has hydrophilic properties whereby the surfactant composition is stable and remains homogeneous in the absence of an added hydrotrope. The hydrogen peroxide is present in an amount to control obnoxious odors and the use of an expensive perfume to mask odors is not necessary. Acidic stock surfactant solutions which are compatible with alkaline aqueous washing media may be prepared by diluting the surfactant composition with water. The acidic surfactant composition and/or stock solution may be admixed with an alkaline aqueous medium containing a dissolved substance providing ammonion ion, sodium ion, and/or potassium ion in an amount to form the corresponding salt of the alkyl benzene sulfonic acid surfactant and the resulting admixture may be used in washing soiled substrates. The surfactant composition and stock solution are especially useful in laundering textile materials and, when used for this purpose, a very high degree of soil removal is achieved. The surfactant composition and stock solution do not require water softening agents when washing in hard water.
