    • Provided are a multi-display supporting multi-view video object-based encoding apparatus and method, and an object-based transmission/reception system and method using the encoding apparatus and method. The encoding apparatus includes: a shape abstracting means for receiving right/left-eye image object video and abstracting right/ left object image, respectively, to abstract the shape information of a multi-view video; a data separating means for receiving the right/left-eye image object video, and the right/left shape information, and separating them into odd-field objects and even field objects to transmit only the essential bit streams for a user display mode; a shape compensation means for compensating for the distortion of the shape information separated into odd and even fields; and an object-based encoding means for receiving the object-based information from the shape compensation means and the object-based information from the data separating means, forming four layers, and performing motion and disparity estimation to encode object-based data that are separated into odd and even lines.

    • A method and system may detect a fail of a steering angle sensor in an electric power steering apparatus. The system may include: a steering angle sensor for generating and transmitting a steering angle signal measuring a rotation angle of a steering wheel; a motor for generating an assistant power for smooth steering and transmitting a current and a voltage based on rotation of the motor; and an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) for receiving the current and the voltage from the motor, sensing the rotation direction of the motor, receiving the steering angle signal from the steering angle sensor, sensing a first rotation direction of the steering wheel, and then, when the rotation direction of the motor is not equal to the first rotation direction of the steering wheel, determining that the steering angle signal has a fail and starting operation of a fail-safe logic.

    • A delay lock loop circuit includes a forward delay circuit having a plurality of delay elements. Each delay element has a delay time of one unit delay time. The forward delay circuit and each of the delay elements are powered by a supply voltage. The supply voltage is set to thereby set the duration of a unit delay time. Moreover, a feedback delay circuit is provided in order to cause a feedback delay time being substantially equal to a propagation delay of the IC. As the operating conditions of IC change, and the propagation delay thereof increases or decreases, the feedback delay time changes accordingly, and thus the delay caused by forward delay circuit tracks the change in the propagation delay of the IC.

    • Disclosed is a stereoscopic/multiview three-dimensional video processing system and its method. In the present invention, stereoscopic/multiview three-dimensional video data having a plurality of images at the same time are coded into a plurality of elementary streams. The plural elementary streams output at the same time are multiplexed according to the user's selected display mode to generate a single elementary stream. After packetization of the single elementary stream continuously generated, information about the stereoscopic/multiview three-dimensional video multiplexing method and the selected display mode information are added to the packet header of the stream. Then the packetized elementary stream is sent to the image reproducer or stored in storage media. The present invention multiplexes the multi-channel elementary streams having the same temporal and spatial information, thereby minimizing the overlapping header information, and performs streaming of data suitable for the user's demand and the user system environments.
