    • A system for predictive electronic mail addressing is provided. The system comprises a computer system and an application, that when executed on the computer system, observes the instantiation of a draft electronic mail message on a client device. The system also analyzes at least one of an entry of a first addressee, an entry of text in the subject line, and an entry of text in the body of the draft electronic mail message. The system also identifies at least one list comprising a plurality of proposed addressees based on the analyzed entries. The system also displays the at least one list in a selection pane on the client device and enters the list into the addressee entry space of the draft electronic mail message when selected.

    • Tags, such as XML tags, are inserted into email to separate email content from signature blocks, privacy notices and confidentiality notices, and to separate original email messages from replies and replies from further replies. The tags are detected by a system that renders email as speech, such as voice command platform or network-based virtual assistant or message center. For example, the system can detect the signature block or privacy notice tags and not render the signature block or privacy notice as speech. The system can render an original email message in one voice mode and the reply in a different voice mode. The tags can be inserted to identify a voice memo in which a user responds to a particular portion of an email message. Preferably, an email server that receives and stored the email message inserts the tags into the email. Alternatively, the tags could be inserted by an email client application. The tags are detected by an email parser, which can be incorporated into the system rendering email as speech, or, alternatively implemented in a separate logical entity.

    • A method and system for providing an audible calling party identification and/or an audible calling/called party ringback services (“services”) is disclosed. The system may include (and the method may perform the services in) a network having source, network, and destination nodes. The source and destination nodes may be equipped with ringtone-generation engines to generate ringtones. Each of the ringtones includes at least one audible tone. The method may include the source and/or destination node receiving from the network node information for producing a ringtone (“ringtone information”). The ringtone information is originated toward the destination node in response to the source node initiating a call to the destination node. After receipt, the source and/or destination nodes may generate the ringtone using their ringtone-generation engines and the ringtone information. After generating the ringtones, the source and/or destination ringtone-generation engines may provide them to users of the respective source and/or destination nodes.
