    • A dual cam configuration is provided in a container filler machine. The filler machine preferably fills containers from their bottoms and includes at least one filling station assembly, each such assembly including a dispensing assembly and a positioning assembly. For controlling the filling process at each station, the cam configuration includes first and second cam tracks, each track being followed by a cam following assembly. For each station, the machine also preferably includes a single pneumatic cylinder assembly for simultaneously maintaining both cam following assemblies against their respective cam tracks.

    • A method of manufacturing the test device and method of determining the presence and relative concentration of a component in a test sample. The device includes a carrier matrix incorporated with a reactant system capable of interacting with a sample component to produce a detectable response. For home use, the reactant system produces a visibly detectable response. The carrier matrix of the device comprises a new and improved whole blood compatible, glucose-permeable strip or layer of a polymerizable silicone material. A reactant system is homogeneously mixed into the polymerizable carrier matrix prior to complete curing of the matrix, and the matrix then is cured to hold the reactant system homogeneously throughout the carrier matrix in a known concentration while maintaining matrix penetrability of the predetermined component after complete curing of the carrier matrix. The carrier matrix is formed from a dispersion of a polymerizable silicon-containing compound applied in an incompletely cured from in a liquid carrier containing a homogeneously mixed reactant system.

    • This invention relates to coating compositions which are "solid" prior to application, yet, which when applied to a substrate, flow and level in a manner similar to conventional coating compositions. The coating compositions of the invention comprise a gelled coating composition, capable of application and flow on a solid substrate comprising: (a) a water reducible polymer, (b) water, (c) an electrolyte, and (d) a colloidal gelling agent, gelable by interaction with the electrolyte, in an amount sufficient, when interacted with said electrolyte, to gel the composition to form a stable semisolid and to provide a composition reducible to a coating application viscosity upon the application of a relatively small shearing force at a relatively small shearing rate; which gelled coating composition, after being sheared to a coating application viscosity, does not recover substantial colloidal gelling agent contributed gel structure.

    • Disclosed is a fitting having an attachment configuration for end-to-panel securing of the fitting to an insulated duct. The fitting is provided with a standing flange spaced from the end margin of the fitting a distance substantially equal to the thickness of the insulated duct wall adjacent the opening therein and limiting the depth of insertion of the fitting into the opening. An outwardly extending tab or flange is located on one portion of the end margin of the fitting and is adapted to back the adjacent duct wall. A separate member, L-shaped in cross-section, is attached to an opposite portion of the end wall margin after insertion of the fitting, one leg of the L-shaped member backing the adjacent duct wall.
