摘要： A retail environment having retail terminals with data entry point devices selectively encrypts input received by the data entry point devices and passes the encrypted data to a security module. The selective encryption is based on whether or not sensitive or confidential information, such as a personal identification number (PIN) associated with a debit card, is being input. To prevent hacking of the software of the retail terminal, content destined for display on the retail terminal is authenticated prior to display. In this manner, the retail terminal may be assured that confidential information is input only when desired, and thus may be encrypted only as needed.

The processing circuitry is configured to receive an indication of flow of fuel through the fuel flow control valve apparatus, determine an authorization status, and in response to a determination of no authorization during flow, cause the cutoff valve apparatus to close.

摘要： An assembly for installation in a fuel dispensing environment having a forecourt controller and at least one fuel dispenser communicating via legacy cable. The assembly comprises a sniffer device connectable along the legacy cable such that a first communication side thereof is in electrical communication with the forecourt controller and a second communication side thereof is in electrical communication with the fuel dispenser. The sniffer device is operative to receive an incoming message at either the first communication side or the second communication side. The sniffer device also includes memory and a processor, the processor implementing instructions to interpret the incoming message. Based on an interpretation of the incoming message, the sniffer device is operative to determine an action to be taken regarding the incoming message.

One method includes flowing the fuel gas along a fluid conduit in fluid communication with the storage vessel and actuating a valve disposed along the fluid conduit to provide a predetermined difference between the pressure of the fuel gas upstream of the valve and the pressure of the fuel gas downstream of the control valve. The predetermined difference is selected such that the temperature of the fuel gas is reduced to a predetermined temperature after passing through the valve. The method further includes dispensing the fuel gas into the storage vessel at a first mass flow rate.

摘要： A fluid dispenser has a housing in which fluid flow control components are located and at least one fluid conduit completing first and second fluid flow paths between the at least one fluid storage tank and a nozzle coupled to the housing. The fluid dispenser also has a fluid flow meter located along said fluid flow path, a control system, and a recirculation subsystem. The recirculation subsystem has a bypass valve located along one of the first and second flow paths. The bypass valve is operative to prevent fluid communication between the first and second fluid flow paths when the fluid dispenser is in use and to allow fluid communication between the first and second fluid flow paths when the fluid dispenser is not in use. Methods of measuring the flow rate of a fluid in the fluid dispenser are also disclosed.
