    • A control arrangement for displacing the guide bar in a warp knitting machines comprises an input arrangement for the setting certain characteristic data defining the desired shogging pattern. There is also provided a first storage section for storing data for various transition curves also relating to shogging patterns. A computer can generate a continuous displacement function based on the characteristic data and the transition curves. An output arrangement can reads out the values of the displacement function in dependence upon the rotation angle position of the main shaft 7 of the knitting machine. The values this read out are used as position target values for the guide bar. This enables flexible adaptation to produce very different patterns in high machine speed.

    • In a control arrangement for the motor of a winding arrangement, such as a partial warp beam in a warp knitting machine, there is provided a controller. The controller controls the rate of rotation of the motors of the turning arrangements that influence thread consumption and ware takeoff, in dependence on a main shaft signal, a feedback signal and an input size signal. The control arrangement is equipped for the storage of a program containing many input sizes which are addressable sequentially for the control arrangement, in dependence upon the main shaft signal. In particular, a data memory may be provided with a plurality of addresses for the production of differentiable input sizes. An address caller is controlled by the main shaft signal and calls out sequentially the different input sizes for the control arrangement. As a controller, a digital computer is foreseen.

    • A process or apparatus can control thread provision in a warp knitting machine by means of a computer (6). The computer operation involves pattern data (MD) supplied as a sequence of numbers. These numbers are provided to a recognition routine (ER), which for every warp course (line W) determines the lapping type (LA) that should be formed and the shogging distance (SW) prescribed. Tables are stored for providing a thread provision value (FZ) for each combination of lapping type (LA), thread take-off value (WA), and a shogging distance (SW). Based upon (a) the determined lapping type, (b) the inputted fabric take-off value, (c) the inputtable external operating parameters or influences, and (d) the determined shogging distance, the thread provision value for this warp course is read out and utilized for controlling thread provision. An arrangement for the control of the thread provision means of a warp knitting machine (1) will comprise (a) a computer (6), a table storage means (13), (b) a program storage means (11) for a programmed recognition routine, (c) an evaluation device (12) for reading out a table (100 through 107 ), and (d) a control device (5) which by use of the thread provision values read from the tables controls the thread provision.

    • A warp knitting machine comprises at least one guide bar and one main shaft. The angular position of the main shaft is determined by an absolute transmitter, while the position of the guide bar is determined by an absolute transmitter. Each transmitter can provide a different signal value for each angular position of the main shaft and for each guide bar position. A continuous displacement function is developed for the guide bar. This function relates each measured angular position of the main shaft with a position target value for the guide bar. A position control circuit controls a setting motor that displaces the guide bar. In this way, the danger of collision between elements of the guide bars and other working parts of the machine are practically totally avoided.

    • A warp knitting machine comprises a brake operative upon current interruption. The guide bars are displaced by an electrical setting motor as well as a control arrangement, which establishes the position of the guide bars in dependence upon the angular position of the main shaft. The control arrangement bases its control upon a predetermined displacement function relating the positions of the main shaft and guide bar. The setting motor and control arrangement are connected to a main power source via an intermediate circuit, which has at least one storage condenser. This machine allows for a rather rapid change of the lapping pattern and a continuance of controlled guide bar displacement right up to the standstill of the main shaft.

The carriage, in conjunction and cooperation with the main shaft of the warp knitting machine, is driven between two forwarding devices for forwarding the laid weft threads to a needle bed. The arrangement has a drive assembly including a computer and a servomotor. The computer has at least one data storage device for taking up the data associated with at least one movement path formula. A sensor is provided for determining the number of revolutions and the angular displacement position data of the main shaft, which is fed back to the computer to enable it to compute the required drive speed of the servomotor.

    • A measuring arrangement for a machine winding arrangement can determine a process variable related to the length of a wound-up or let-off material. A rotational angle signal is extracted from a rotatable winding carrier. In addition this angle signal can also contain information concerning the direction of rotation of the winding arrangement. The process variable is then calculated from this turning angle signal and calculation data, by means of a computer. The calculation data, transmitted from an input device, include at least values which are concerned with the diameter of the winding and thickness of the winding layer. The computer can contemporaneously be utilized to calculate the desired amount of rotation of a beam motor from: the process variable, a setting amount from the input device and a main shaft signal indicating rotation of the main shaft of the winding arrangement. The arrangement is particularly suited for the winding up or letting off of thread of a textile machine.
