摘要： A cart loading machine including a loading section for loading objects onto a multi-tiered cart, and an infeed conveyor section for conveying the objects to the loading section. The loading section includes a framework defining an open area for receiving the multi-tiered cart, and a elevator mechanism for vertically moving the cart relative to the framework within the open area. A stationary accumulation table is disposed adjacent to the framework and accumulates an array of the objects thereon. A pusher is associated with the accumulation table for pushing an accumulated array from the accumulation table and onto one of the shelves of the multi-tiered cart. Initially, the cart is raised so that its bottommost shelf is level with the accumulation table, such that when the pusher is actuated, the accumulated array is loaded onto the bottommost shelf. The cart is then lowered until the next shelf is level with the accumulation table, while the next array is being accumulated on the accumulation table. The new array is then pushed by the pusher onto the next shelf. This process is repeated until all of the shelves of the cart are filled.

摘要： A testing apparatus is provided for applying a glue bead to a first sheet of material and then adhering a second sheet of material thereto. The testing apparatus includes a glue tank and a glue head attached thereto both of which are adapted to measure and control the temperature of the glue therein. The glue head applies the glue to the first sheet of material at a preselected rate. The first sheet of material then passes to a compression cylinder which urges the second sheet of material into contact with the first sheet of material. The pressure and duration of the contact between the first and second sheets of material can be varied.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus for lubricating and beading the edge or rim of a cup having a seamed annular sidewall and a polygonal base. A 360.degree. spray means sprays the inside top margin of the cup wall with water to lubricate and a spinning head having a plurality of radially moveable forming members for contact with the rim subsequently produces the bead. The lubricator has a deflector which moves by means of an air cylinder axially into contact with the top annular wall end to close the end and to direct and combine a water mist created by a 360.degree. spray set up which atomizes the water to a mist by means pressurized air. For the bead forming operation, a base plate together with relatively moveable socket forming wall members provides a seat for the cup on a cam operated elevator device which moves the cup upwardly. The socket is complementary to the polygonal base to prevent rotation of the seated and supported cup relative to the socket. The socket walls retract into a common horizontal plane with the base plate to permit rotationally driven star wheels to first restrain the cups at the lubricating station and then to guide and confine cups onto the base plate in register with the bead forming means and off of the base plate away from the bead forming means. An air stream is directed into the cup to produce a positive pressure which inhibits dust from entering the cup during the bead forming operation.
