    • A means for fastening a first part of a gas bag module of a vehicle occupant restraint system to a second part of the gas bag module is provided. The first part is provided with a holding opening, and the second part is provided with an insertion opening whose diameter substantially corresponding to the diameter of the holding opening. The means comprises a metallic fastening sleeve which extends through the holding opening and the insertion opening and has a first axial end associated with the first part, a second axial end associated with the second part, and a longitudinal axis. The first axial end of the fastening sleeve comprising an abutment head, and the second axial end is crimped together perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the fastening sleeve so that by plastic material deformation two abutment surfaces are formed at least approximately diametrically opposed to each other such that the first and the second parts are secured in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis between the abutment surfaces and the abutment head.

    • To avoid edge effects and local variations of differences in transducers across zones of material to be printed from which print control signals are to be derived, for example to control the localized or zone adjustment positions of a flexible doctor blade with respect to an ink ductor roller in an offset printing machine, a first standard sample providing, for example, white signals, is first scanned, then a standard sample, providing for example totally inked zones, is scanned, and then the actual printing sample. From each of the scannings, signals are derived with respect to print zones, for example columns in a newpaper layout, the signals being compared to form a difference or comparison signal from the first two standards (light and dark) in the respective zones, which difference signal is stored, with respect to the respective zones, in a file memory (11); this difference signal then is compared with processed transduced signals derived from the actual text to be printed, for conversion into output signals for display, storage or control of the printing machines in accordance with the respective ink coverage of the zones which were scanned.

    • A device for adjusting a doctor blade of a printing machine comprising an inking roller facing the doctor blade and adapted to be spaced therefrom by a gap to establish a predetermined ink thickness on the inking roller. Sensors are coupled to the doctor blade for determining the spacing between the inking roller and the doctor blade. Servomotors are coupled to the doctor blade to adjust the position of the doctor blade thereby to adjust the size of the gap. A microcomputer receives signals from the sensors to compare signals from the sensors with the desired gap according to given values of ink thickness and for sending signals to the servomotors to adjust the doctor blade so that the actual distance and the desired distance correspond. The microcomputer also receives the signals from the sensors in non-adjusted state when the inking roller is in contact with the doctor blade to establish this as the zero position of the doctor blade. The zero position can be detected automatically before each resetting of the doctor blade or it can be detected at periodic intervals or by external instruction.

    • A clamping device has a hexagon receptacle for receiving hexagon bits inserted in an axial direction of the hexagon receptacle. A radially movable locking element is provided for engaging a locking recess of an inserted hexagon bit. The locking element has a rest position and projects in the rest position radially inwardly into the hexagon receptacle. A locking sleeve surrounds the hexagon receptacle in an initial position and has a cylindrical securing wall. The securing wall radially secures the locking element in the rest position. The locking element is axially moveable within the hexagon receptacle into a receiving position in which radial deflection of the locking element is enabled.
