    • The present application discloses a quick-action coupling (100) for a rotary surgical tool having a rotary shaft (20), in the distal end surface of which there is formed a tool receptacle (24) which is adapted to receive a rotary surgical tool for conjoint rotation. The rotary shaft (20) has, in the region of its distal end (21), at least one radial protrusion (22) and at least one radial aperture, wherein a locking body is arranged in the at least one aperture, said locking body being movable in the radial direction with respect to the rotary shaft (20). A sleeve (10), the proximal end of which is pushable over the distal end (21) of the rotary shaft (20), is additionally provided in the quick-action coupling. The inner surface of the sleeve (10) contains a region in which the inside diameter of the distal section (102) is enlarged compared with the inside diameter of the proximal section (101), and the sleeve (10) has at least one slot (11, 11′, 12, 12′, 13, 13′, 13″, 14, 15, 16, 17) which has a first slot section (11, 11′) and at least one further slot section (12, 12′, 13, 13′, 13″, 14, 15, 16, 17), wherein the first slot section (11, 11′) extends from the proximal end of the sleeve (10) and the further slot section (12, 12′, 13, 13′, 13″, 14, 15, 16, 17) is connected to the first slot section (11, 11′). An elastic element (30) urges the sleeve (10) in the distal direction relative to the rotary shaft (20).

    • A hand-held machine tool is disclosed. The tool has an electric motor and an output shaft which can be driven by the electric motor about a working axis. The output shaft has an intake space which is open on the output side for receiving a machine tool and which has two elongated holes cutting into the intake space in the radial direction. Blocking elements lie in the elongated holes and protrude into the intake space and are movable between an end on the output side of the elongated hole and an end on the drive side of the elongated hole. The blocking elements abut on a radial stop in the radial direction and are forced into the intake space in an engaging manner. The stop overlaps in a locked position with the ends on the output side of the elongated holes and can be moved in the withdrawal direction against a spring force of a spring for releasing a radial movement of the blocking elements from the engagement with the intake space. A second spring includes a support ring, two bows protruding from the support ring in the withdrawal direction and bent around the intake space in the form of a segment of a circle, and a pin engaging radially from each bow in the withdrawal direction in front of the blocking element into the elongated hole.

    • A coupling device of jigs includes a foundation, a tube, a plurality of balls, and a piston base. The foundation has a chamber, in which a part of the tube is inserted. The tube has a plurality of through holes for housing the balls. The piston base is received in the chamber, and fitted to the tube. An inner surface of the piston base has a circular groove and an abutment surface. The piston base can be moved along an axial direction of the tube between a first position and a second position. When at the first position, a part of each ball is inside the circular groove; when at the second position, an area where the abutment surface abuts against each ball is not merely a single point. Whereby, the force applied on the abutment surface is dispersed, and therefore the processing accuracy of workpieces is ensured.

    • A tool-bit holder (10) for varying tool-bit shank profiles comprising a hub (12) having a longitudinal bore (28) adapted for receiving a tool-bit shank (66, 70, 80). The hub (12) has a plurality of radial slots (38) communicating with the first section (30) of the longitudinal bore (28). The tool-bit holder (10) has a collar (14) fixedly attached to the hub (12) adjacent the open (29) and disposed annularly about the hub (12). A sleeve (16) is axially slidably mounted and disposed annularly about the hub (12).     • Several preferred embodiments are disclosed for a tool-less blade clamping apparatus for a reciprocating tool of the type which has a reciprocating plunger which has a tool attachment receiving slot for receiving a tool attachment of the type that has a shank portion. The clamping apparatus has an unclamped position and a clamped position. In the unclamped position, a tool attachment can be easily inserted and when it is in its clamped position, the tool attachment is securely retained. The preferred embodiments have at least one spring biasing the apparatus toward the clamped position, a releasable retaining mechanism for holding the apparatus in its unclamped position after being placed in that position. When the blade shank portion is inserted into the slot a predetermined distance, the shoulders of the shank portion release the retaining mechanism to move it to its clamped position. When a blade is to be removed, the clamping apparatus needs only to be moved to its unclamped position by manually rotating the outer sleeve or collar, and the blade is normally ejected from the mechanism by contact with the blade shoulders as it reaches its unclamped position.
