    • The invention relates to an apparatus for transmitted light illumination for light microscopes having changing effective entrance pupil of an objective. The apparatus has a light source for emitting an illuminating light beam, and a holding device for holding a sample to be examined, and at least one diaphragm edge for trimming the illuminating light beam bundle, wherein the diaphragm edge is arranged between the holding device and the light source and extends transversely to an optical axis, wherein a beam path of the illuminating light between the diaphragm edge and a sample held by the holding device is free from beam focussing components. The apparatus is characterised in that the means are provided for enquiring concerning a microscope setting and/or a microscope configuration of a light microscope, which means are positionable at the device for transmitted light illumination; means are provided for variable positioning of the diaphragm edge in a direction transverse to the optical axis, and a control device is provided and configured to position the diaphragm edge in the direction transverse to the optical axis via the means for variable positioning. The invention also relates to a method for transmitted light illumination for a light microscope and a microscope system.

    • The present invention is directed to a modular unit for the distribution of the light flow of a cold light source which makes it possible to combine different illumination methods in mixed-light operation with only one individual high-power cold light source and to switch between illumination methods.     • Disclosed herein is a device for the application of agricultural active agents, wherein the device is suitable to be brought to the site of action in a manner temporally and spatially separated from the production process, and comprises a dispenser and non-water-soluble nanofibers and/or mesofibers charged with agricultural active agents. The polymers from which the nanofibers and/or mesofibers are made are preferably biodegradable. The agricultural active agents are selected from fungicides, herbicides, batericides, plant growth regulators and plant nutrients. These are preferably pheromones, kairomones and signaling substances. Furthermore, a method for the production of this device is disclosed, wherein the nanofibers and/or mesofibers charged with active agents are produced via electrospinning. The device is suitable to be used to bring agricultural active agents to the site of action in a manner temporally and spatially separated from the production of this device. The application is suitable to be carried out mechanically or automatically. This is preferably agricultural land used for fruit growing, viticulture, gardening or a commercial row crop. The device according to the present invention is particularly suitable to be used for the regulation of arthropods.

The device, according to the invention, for varying and adjusting the transmitted illumination for microscopes comprises modules for darkfield illumination, brightfield illumination, and/or diffuse illumination and/or for adapting the object field in which an illumination unit can be selectively coupled to different modules and in which actuators are provided for implementing the adjustments within the modules and for producing the desired connections, these actuators being operated by means of operating elements of a control unit. The adjustments within the modules and the implemented connections are detected and are stored in the control unit so as to be reproducible. The proposed solution is provided particularly for varying and adjusting the transmitted illumination in microscopes and makes possible a broad application by means of an ergonomic arrangement of the operating elements and adjusting and/or changing the illumination situations in a simple and reproducible manner.
