    • A fluid quick connector includes a housing which sealingly receives a tubular endform latched in the housing by a movable retainer. An axially slidable top hat is mounted in the bore in the housing and has axially extending posts with ends disposed in the path of movement of the retainer when the top hat is in a biased first position. Biasing members are formed on the retainer to normally bias the retainer to the first position. The biasing members are cantileveredly movable by contact with the inner surfaces of the bore in the housing under forced insertion of the endform into the housing through contact between the annular flange on the endform and the posts on the top hat enabling the endform to be fully sealingly inserted into the bore in the housing before of the retainer can be moved to the latched position to latch the endform in the housing.

    • An electrically conductive quick connector housing is matable with a conductive male endform. A contact member is carried in the housing to provide a secure electrical connection between the male endform and the housing. In one aspect, the contact member is in the form of at least one projection integrally formed with the housing and extending radially inward into a bore in the housing for engagement with the male endform. In another aspect, the contact member is in the form of at least one longitudinally extending finger projecting unitarily into the bore in the housing. The finger engages the outer diameter of the male endform when the male endform is inserted into the housing.

    • A quick connector body includes a bore fluidically coupled to a bore extending from an open end of an endform when the body is mounted on the endform. Cooperating, initially spaced, latch members and latch engagement members are unitarily carried on the connector body. A collapsible portion is formed on the body between the latch members and the latch engagement members for radial inward protrusion into an annular groove in the endform substantially concurrent with engagement of the latch members and the latch engagement members to fixedly couple the connector on the endform. In one aspect a second end of the connector body is closed to form the connector body as a test cap. In another aspect, a second end of the connector body is open to establish a fluid flow path from the endform to a fluid component coupled to the second end of the connector body.

The selection may be of a ferrule (18) having a first outside guide tube (28) and a collar (42) having a first inside guide tube (48) for telescoping relationship with the first outside guide tube (28) or, sequentially may be of a collar (42) with a second outside guide tube (50) and placing a second inside guide tube (52) to extend from the end fitting (16) for telescoping relationship with the second outside guide tube (50).

    • A first conduit section (12) has a first end fitting (16) at an inner end thereof and a second conduit section (14) has a second end fitting (18) at an inner end thereof.
