    • The present invention relates to an apparatus for bending a sheet die cutting knife to a specified shape, in which a knife is supported by a supporting mechanism and a clamping mechanism in connection with the upper face of the surface plate and bent by a bending mechanism in which the edge portion of the bending die which constitutes the bending mechanism is brought into contact, through vibrations and drive, with the knife side opposite to the direction along which the knife is about to be bent, by alternatively repeating a specified staying time and knife feeding time by the knife feeding mechanism every time such a bending process is carried out. This makes it possible to bend the knife to various shapes by properly changing the operating time of the bending mechanism and the feeding mechanism with a control device.

    • The invention relates to an apparatus for automatically bending a strip-shaped blade material to a predetermined configuration. An oscillating arm provided with a movable clamp portion for holding the blade material at the front end portion thereof is attached to a base. A pair of stationary bits are adjacently placed on the base near an end of the movable clamp portion of the oscillating arm at a predetermined distance. The apparatus is provided with an oscillation driving mechanism oscillating the oscillating arm horizontally and a feeding mechanism sending the blade material forward along the oscillating arm. The blade material is bent between one of the stationary bits and the movable clamp portion by oscillating the oscillating arm horizontally.

    • An installation for cutting a knife material which accurately cuts and produces an intermediate knife material to be supplied to a bending device for bending and forming a knife for working a sheet body. The installation is provided with a repository member horizontally stocking different kinds of assorted and piled knife materials, a conveyance conveying the knife materials at the repository member to a predetermined spot one by one from the uppermost material, a receiving mechanism horizontally receiving the knife material dropped from the conveyance, an inductive guidance mechanism adjusting the knife material to a proper position and guiding the longitudinal traveling of the knife material, a feeding mechanism feeding the knife material to the longitudinal direction, and a cutter cutting the knife material fed by the feeding mechanism to a predetermined length and produce an intermediate knife material.
