摘要： A system, method and computer program product for processing video is provided. In one embodiment, the method includes storing a plurality of transcripts in a memory along with information identifying an associated video content unit, receiving a search request comprising one or more keywords originating from a user, searching at least some of the plurality of transcripts for the one or more keywords, determining search results that comprises a plurality of video content units that satisfy a similarity threshold with the search request, wherein the plurality of video content units that satisfy a similarity threshold with the search request comprise video content units having a transcript that includes at least some of the one or more keywords, and transmitting information identifying at least some of the video content units of the search results to a remote device for presentation to the user. In addition, the method may include prompting users to rate video content units, storing an average user rating for video content units and displaying user ratings as part of the search results. In addition, advertisements may be selected, based on suggested keywords and keywords entered by the user.

In one embodiment, the method includes storing a plurality of templates for presenting interactive content in a memory, receiving a request for interactive content channel from a viewer, receiving interactive content data associated with the requested interactive content channel, receiving information for selecting a template for displaying the interactive content data, retrieving a template from memory based on the information for selecting a template; populating the retrieved template with the interactive content data to provide an interactive content display; and presenting the interactive content display to the viewer concurrently with the broadcast program. Each broadcast program may have multiple associated interactive content channels and some interactive content channels may be available for display with multiple broadcast programs.

In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving digital television programming content from a television service provider, receiving a first user input of a selected digital television programming content, in response to receiving the first user input, causing the selected digital television programming content to be displayed on a television, receiving a message from an in-home system, in response to receiving the message, causing a notification to be displayed on the television as an overlay over the displayed television programming content, receiving a first user command, determining a first control message to transmit to the in-home system in response to receiving the first user command, transmitting the first control message to the in-home system, wherein the in-home system may comprise a video camera, an entry way security system, an HVAC system, a lighting system, an alarm system, or other in-home system. User inputs may be received via a remote control to a set top box or from a computing device at a remote computer system through the internet and/or a mobile telephone network.
