    • The tripod apparatus provides a tripod stand with player tray for removably holding a variety of media player sizes and shapes. The media players may be any of a variety of such including but not limited to CD players, DVD players, and laptop computers. The adjustability of the player tray provides for players of a variety of widths and depths and also provides elongated eyelets for any players that allow securement through various forms of fasteners. The angled handle of the player tray receiver allows a user to easily adjust direction as chosen. The telescopic stalk of the tripod allows height adjustment. Further, the tray receiver may be pivoted with height angle with the easily-used 45 degree angled handle. The clip on media holder provides holder slots for convenience in storing various media. The apparatus is lightweight, significantly collapsible, and highly portable.

The information platform may be configured to allow customers to submit requests for testing and other information to the testing facility and check on the statuses of previously submitted requests to the testing facility over a network. The information platform may be configured to allow the testing facility to provide updates and other information to the customers over a network. The information platform may reduce the amount of time spent by the technicians of the testing facility answering emails or phone calls from the customers asking about the tests or attending meetings doing the same. Therefore the technicians may have more time to perform the actual test which may increase the output of the testing facility.

    • A system and method that automatically, transparently and securely controls software execution by identifying and classifying software, and locating a rule and associated security level for executing executable software. The security level may disallow the software's execution, restrict the execution to some extent, or allow unrestricted execution. To restrict software, a restricted access token may be computed that reduces software's access to resources, and/or removes privileges, relative to a user's normal access token. The rules that control execution for a given machine or user may be maintained in a restriction policy, e.g., locally maintained and/or in a group policy object distributable over a network. Software may be identified/classified by a hash of its content, by a digital signature, by its file system or network path, and/or by its URL zone. For software having multiple classifications, a precedence mechanism is provided to establish the applicable rule/security level.

Minor changes to the link controller at its device driver improve the user experience and the power consumption in dual IrDA port configurations.
