摘要： A rotatable coupling assembly for facilitating the connection and separation of a waste discharge hose between a recreational vehicle waste discharge outlet and the inlet of an external waste disposal receptacle, including a first coupling with a first fitting having a generally cylindrical main body with a flanged portion. A second fitting is also provided and is adapted to slide along the main body until it approaches the first fitting. The second fitting has radial projections for lockingly engaging corresponding hook-like members of a mating fitting of a second coupling, or the converse. A similarly structured third or mating fitting is also provided. A flanged ring member with an annular seating surface joins with one end of the discharge hose to enable the mated components to be slidably disposed along the main body until they approach the second fitting. When the parts are engaged, as described, the second fitting, which, in one example, comprises radial projections in one coupling and the third fitting, which comprises mating hook-like members in the other coupling, may each freely rotate about the corresponding main body.

摘要： An apparatus for attaching and securing a cap to a hose adapter used in connection with an RV waste removal valve assembly to prevent inadvertent sewer or waste spillage in the event of a failure of the primary locking components. The apparatus comprises two principal components, including a Y-branch plumbing fitting with a hose adapter incorporated at one end. On the outside surface of the hose adapter are a coupling pin and an adjacently located coupling tongue. The other component is a closure cap, which includes one or more generally L-shaped coupling arms. The coupling arms form a U-shaped opening with the edge of the cap and include an opening at one end to slidably receive the coupling pin and a grooved or slotted portion along the base of the coupling arm near where the arm attaches to the edge of the cap to slidably receive the coupling tongue. The coupling pins and the corresponding open end of the coupling arms are aligned and one or both of these fitting components are rotated towards the other to enable the pins to engage the openings and each of the coupling grooves to engage the corresponding coupling tongues to lock the fittings together.

The ring is removed before the adapter or the sewer fitting engages the hose opening to enable the hose to contract and form a tight seal with those components.

摘要： A valve construction for use with a holding or waste removal tank of a vehicle is provided and includes a gate valve having a valve closure member, and at least one panel having an opening extending from an inside surface to an outside surface connected to the vehicle. Also provided is an axially moveable cable with a first end connected to the gate valve to impart movement to the valve closure member and a second end having a terminus, and a first and second means for securing the second end to the panel. The first means is radially contractible and expandable for penetrating the opening by contracting as it is moved to penetrate through the inside surface of the panel and expanding as it is moved to exit the opening through the outside surface of the panel whereupon it abuts the outside surface. The second means adapts to tightly abut the inside surface of the panel to cooperate with the first means to enable the secure mounting of the second end of the cable to the panel. A handle assembly with a pivotable handle is also provided, and typically is pre-attached to the terminus of the second end before and as the second end is guided through the opening from the inside of the panel.

The valve closure member comprises a valve stem and a connected handle. Also provided is an electrical control unit with a motor, an electrical drive means and a drive shaft to engage the handle. A switch means electrically connected to the control unit has an on and off position. In the on position, the actuator lifts the handle to move the gate and open the flow passageway. In the off position, the actuator retracts the handle to move the gate linearly to close the flow passageway. Also provided is a releasable ring pin which confines the handle and which, when removed, enables the manual override of the external actuator.

摘要： A clamping assembly for securing the canopy of a retractable awning mounted on a recreational vehicle, including one or more clamp members, each having a top section and a bottom section positioned in face opposed relation with each section having a back surface and a front surface. Each back surface includes a protruding member with an opening adapted, when aligned, to receive a means to attach the clamp member to support arms. The front surfaces form a pair of projecting face opposed clamping flanges with a space in between the two to engage the canopy material. Also provided is a pair of spring-loaded lever arms adapted for pivotal movement between a vertical position to enable the flanges to engage the canopy material in a releasable grip and a horizontal position to enable the flanges to separate and release their grip on the canopy. Rotating the lever arms in opposite directions act to adjust the tightness of the grip the flanges have on the canopy material.

The rod with the attached handle extends through the pipe into the hollow housing. The top end of the pipe seals off the juncture where the pipe connects to the vertical elongated tubular opening.

摘要： A leveling device for vehicle wheels comprising a first integral planar member for mating with one or more additional integral planar members of substantially the same shape and dimension in releasable relationship. All integral members have four sides and an upper surface divided into a plurality of vertically projecting rows of pins with a row of projections situated up front. The bottom surface of each of the integral planar members include rows of sockets, each of which is conformable in shape and size to receive an individual pin in releasable frictional engagement. Each planar member also includes one partially beveled side with a sloped projection with one or more openings conformable to the shape and dimensions of the individual pins. Two or more integral planar members are adapted to stack one upon the other by mating pins and sockets of respective planar members so that the sloped projections overlap one another and are positioned in parallel relation. The sloped projections of stacked planar members may also be disposed in a laterally offset relation. Both embodiments enable substantial alignment of the inclined planes to facilitate movement of a vehicle wheel up on to the surface of the device and back down.
